"What happened to her? Where is she" Mary asked with her gaze focused on Emma's face.

Her heart beat even faster in anticipation of the information she was about to get.

"Poor child — she really suffered".

"What happened to her?" Mary asked again impatiently.

Emma was about to open her mouth to say something when the door burst open.

Both Mary and Emma turned around in shock to see who it was that had the guts to barge into Emma's room with that muck noise, and no dear at all.

"Have you no respect at all young man?" Emma asked a bit jokingly.

"I'm sorry grandma, I was in a bit too much if a hurry to give you your earrings" his gazed remained on Mary while he spoke to his grandmother.

Mary on the other hand tried to avoid his gaze, she wondered if he had the idea of what she was trying to do.

    Mary was taken aback by what she saw on the sky, she looked back at the object in her hand again, it was a ring, and it looked expensive. Mary felt like she was dreaming, this could be one of those her countless fantasies that she had always thought would never come to pass. She quickly looked back at Adonis and saw him walking towards her with a smile on his face. He got close to her and took the ring from her hand. "Will you marry me" he voiced out. Mary was perplexed beyond description, she could not believe what her ears were hearing. She slowly pinched herself to be sure she was not dreaming. Adonis laughed as he saw her pinch herself. "I guess I should help you do that" Adonis said and pinched her arm softly. "Ouch!" Mary exclaimed laughing. "Now tell me" Adonis said. "Will you marry me". "Yes!" Mary nodded excitedly, she could not control her excitement, Adonis himself could not control the smile that spread out on his face as he slid the ring into her finger.
