Chapter Eleven: Decisions, Decisions

POV: Jayce

One month later in October...

“Jayce, what the hell is taking you so long? What are you thinking about man?” I put down the set of weights and turned to look at Tuck. “Sorry Tuck, I had a rough night. I tossed and turned all night.” Tuck sat beside me on the bench. “Please tell me you at least got laid before going home?” I got up from the bench and picked up another set of weights, “Nope, sorry to disappoint you man.” He shook his head in disapproval. There was no point explaining to him why I wasn’t sleeping because he wouldn’t understand. Ever since that day a month ago all I could do was think about her. She’s the reason I’d been losing sleep.

I wondered what she was doing and how life was going for her since we last spoke. My parting words to her were cruel and insensitive.
