Chapter 20: Justice

"Everyone deserves justice."

"Is this about my case?" I asked him a nervous question so he nodded. When my suspicion hit me I hurried downstairs. I even heard Lucas shouted my name.

“Hey! Darling, be careful. You may have taken the wrong step down and you might get injured if you fall.” But I just ignored his screaming because of the mixed emotions I was feeling.

When I came down I saw two policemen who are looking directly at me. They both stood up and shook my hand. I felt Lucas walk over to me. We sat down and the police started explaining. Manang even put drinks and food in front of us.

“I am the Inspector. Ramil. I am the one who assigned in your case, Ms. De Vega. I know it was a year ago but only now have we caught the suspect,” he began.

"The suspect's name is Mauricio Velasco. Yesterday we found him in his den. He changed his name
