The Salvatore pack is currently in crisis, they'd hurt the Lycan's mate, it's not been easy for them and it sure won't end well…. Lisa's now awake but not yet okay, and her mum? Hates meliora to the core now.

“I can't believe her!” Fred yelled walking into Lisa's ward.

“Ah, ah” Lisa winced and Fred flew to her side “are you okay?”, he asked with care filled eyes.

“Yeah, I'm fine…when did you get here?” She asked, sitting well and Fred sighed.

“That's darn meliora, even while she's not here, she's promised to ruin my life!” Fred said with utter bitterness in his voice.

“What's happening, I heard mum talking to the chief and the discussion didn't seem like a happy one” Lisa muttered and Fred faced her.

“What can I do to help, hmm?” She asked with puppy eyes and Fred's faces softened.

“Even while you're sick you still want to help, and all Meliora can do is cause problems…she'd definitely be back, not like the Lycan King would have anything reasonable to do with her” Fred smirked, staring at the window.

“She's with the Lycan King? How?” Lisa's weak voice seemed to have gotten stronger…she's been fine a few days ago, she has self healing powers but she can't let them know she's fine would she?

“That darn girl! She keeps getting better!” Lisa muttered in fury.

Darian’s POV

I felt my heart tightened as I watched Liora walk with Gael, I wasn't supposed to feel like that but… my chest clutched more when she ran away from me, I don't know why but it'd hurt.

I kept walking around the old library looking for books to break the bond, she looked so weak and I couldn't hurt her more by accepting the mate bond.

The moonsbane hurts like hell and letting her go through such pain just because she's mated to me is pure wickedness…I brought the curse on myself and I should deal with it.

I saw “Ancient” and immediately stretched my hand to pick it, it swung away and that's when I saw her. Liora.

My heart stopped like it was paused. Damn this bond “I was gonna take that” she turned with wide eyes and blinked multiple times.

She'd put her hair in a bun and the dress hugged her body tight showing her curves and beauty, her lids seemed to be perfectly made by the goddess as her blue eyes pierced into mine, I looked down to her lips and then thin jaw, ok I've got to look away.

“Sorry” she pushed the book to my chest and turned to run, again? I supersped and caught her hand, her hands felt so soft and smooth, damn!

“Why do you keep running? You might trip and fall” I mumbled and let go of her hand softly, Thane nearly ate me up for letting go of that hand.

*Apologize to her!* I nearly scoffed at Thane's words, why should I? Memories of last night flushed in and my eyes widened…yesterday was the time for moonsbane and she'd entered my room, she must have been so scared.

“What is your work as my wolf if you can't even remind me of something like this? Thane” I asked with my teeth clutched.

“I…I..I'm sorry” Liora bowed, why's she sorry.

That's for the better anyway, not like I won't break the bond, it'd be better if she hated me.

“Stop running away and I'm sorry for last night, don't come into my room like that next time” I mumbled and walked away with the old book. I have a lot of reading to do, hopefully I'll be able to break the bond before the weekend.

“King Darian” Gael walked to me and bowed.

“I've sent the papers to Salvatore pack and there's a meeting ongoing in the hall…I think the elders heard of miss meliora” Gael reported and I nodded.

“Take this book and clean away the dust and make it readable, don't let it get wet”

“And pick out bodyguards for Liora, she's wandering alone and I don't like it” Gael nodded and took the book from me, he walked away and came back almost immediately

“Any problem?”

“Yeah, she has Lisa and Ashley guarding her” this beta of mine, girls?

“Guarding her or taking care of her…I need strong guards to protect her” I muttered and he bowed, walking away, I raised a brow and walked faster.

I walked into the hall to meet the questioning eyes of old chiefs “His Majesty has arrived” I bowed and walked to my throne, they all stood to welcome me properly.

“Please sit” they all sat down and I could see old Luca's piercing eyes, that old man always had something to say.

“I heard you met your mate” old Luca threw from the backs and the others nodded.

“That's very true, but…”

“What buts? You didn't even show her to us and now a but? You never have a good but do you?” I sighed as he rolled his almost covered eyes.

“I can't accept her” murmurs filled the room, just as I expected…there's no going back anyway.

“You waited six years to meet her and you're not accepting her? How'd you rule the lycans then!” Rodrigo sparked.

“What of the moonsbane, yesterday was the 4th night, or am I getting dates wrong again?” Santoro quickly chimed in…you can never win an argument with these old men but I'm going to win this one.

“How about we hear his reason!”Duterte growled and the room became silent, he nodded, giving me a go-ahead to speak.

“She's too weak to carry the moonsbane,” Santoro scoffed, standing up.

“Are you to decide if she's weak?!”

“I saved her from a very abusive pack, she's filled with both internal and external injuries, do you know how much the moonsbane hurts? Why should she go through that because she's mated to me!” My voice had increased as I growled, Santoro sat down quietly as my Lycan tone had come in place.

I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my wrist like a knife was truck across it *Liora!* Thane growled, my mind responded before I could and I stood running out of the hall.

Thane growled loudly trying to take over, I followed liora’s scent teleporting to the garden.

I looked around and there she stood in front of a poisonous plant, blood dripping from her wrist, no reaction like someone that just got hurt, she just stood there like some molded statue.

“Are you okay?” She turned to stare at me, she nodded with a smile…is she seriously smiling?

“Are you dumb or just stupid! If you're hurt you should get it treated, don't just stand there!” I knew my reaction was unnecessary but I couldn't help it, it seemed like the pain was heavier on me.

“Why are you yelling at me again, it's not like I called you here” I heard her thoughts clear in my head like she'd spoken out.

“Come to the poisonous garden, liora's hurt” I mind linked Gael and Lucy, they appeared in seconds.

“Meliora!” Lucy yelled moving towards us.

“Take her to the nurse Lucy, Gael follow me” I ordered and Lucy nodded.

I stormed out of the garden and Gael followed, I turned and he almost bumped into me “did I ask you to get her bodyguards?!”
