Chapter 005

“You don't have to” I said with a shaky voice, almost above a whisper.

“Oh, dear” a knock came on the door distracting us, she turned to me with a smile “I'd leave you to rest now, I'm sure that's Lisa and Ashley” I smiled back, genuinely this time…she patted my shoulder walking out, two young girl walked in.

*She's so kind* Netra murmured “hmm” I nodded.

“Greetings princess” they both bowed, walking closer with notes and some other items.

“Yh” I nodded, unsure of how to reply.

“I'm lily and she's Ashely, what's your best food?, we'd like to know what we'd prepare for dinner” lily asked, I blinked multiple times in utter disbelief, best food? I eat whatever is prepared…Fred said Lunas aren't supposed to be picky so I eat everything.

“You can prepare whatever you want or what they'd eat, maybe I'd have a best after eating” I replied and lily nodded.

“While you were asleep we'd measure your size and send it to the fashion designer, we want to know what type of clothes you prefer” Ashley questioned…are they being real or…they're trying to test me because I'm failing the test already.

It was question on question, from how I'd like my room designed to my hobby, to my choice of bath and time of eating, bedtime…like am I a fucking kid?.

They'd prepared a hot bath for me and honestly it was dope! Damn I didn't know baths were usually this nice. Oh Salvatore!!!

“Princess Liora, it's time for dinner, king Darian says to join them” Lily came in while I checked out my clothes on the mirror, my injuries were slowly disappearing like they were being wiped, ain't leaving this place ever.

“Sure” I beamed a smile following her, eyes fell on me as I trailed behind Lily like they could devour me, I sensed strong energy around them.

I hastened my pace as chills ran down my spine from their stares…”why are they looking scary?” I asked Lily, she chuckled, turning to stare at them.

“They're very nice, princess, they'd get to know you soon” she whispered, Ashely joined her and they walked behind me like guards.

My eyes widened in awe as I entered the dining room, it was decorated beautifully screaming royalty.

Food filled the tables like there's an ongoing feast or it was meant for the entire pack but it was just queen Elsie, king Darian and a pretty young girl, she's likely the same age as me.

The pretty girl turned with a smile as I walked in “is that her?" She asked in excitement standing up, she walked to me pulling my arms.

“You're so beautiful" queen Elsie sat at the edge, Darian just sat gracefully, eyes piercing into mine.

“Lucy, let her eat, she's on drugs" Darian ordered and she pouted, pulling me to sit close to Darian.

Lucy. That's her name.

“I was really happy and eager to meet her when I heard she's here and she's so pretty,” Lucy gushed, staring at me.

"Keep quiet so you don't choke" Lucy scoffed as Darian ordered again, I turned to look at him, his lips. They looked so good as he chewed, they moved slightly and I could imagine them moving on mine, I gulped looking away before I did something crazy.

“Eat up liora, we had them prepare everything so you could choose from it” Queen Elsie said with a smile, I swallowed, staring at all different types of dishes laying on the table and waiting for me to dig in.

“Remember you're to eat only soup and liquids" I clenched my jaw and almost rolled my eyes as Darian reminded me, did he really have to? I mean…I have teeth and I can chew, if only he was a child, I'd have beaten the hell out of him.

My fists clenched on the spoon as soup was shifted to me, *damn that chicken wings* netra growled, “darn it" I mouthed staring at the chicken wings.

“If only I could just have a little taste" I pondered while staring at it.

" You can't” darian's voice came, loud, calm in my head, I turned and met his eyes on mine.

" Eat before it gets cold" his voice came again, talking to me in my head kind of gave me chills, I immediately pushed the spoon into the soup, scooping them into my mouth and it tasted ... .gracious!

The dinner ended fast and quietly, Lily and Ashely stood outside with some guards as we came out of the dining room, some maids entered to pack up the remains while we strode out like royals.

“Can I stay with her a little longer? I want to get along with her" Lucy asked Darian, Darian turned to stare at me.

“She wants to rest,” Darian murmured.

"You can stay with me, I'm bored anyways" Lucy smiled at me and stuck out her tongue mocking darian. He shook his head and went the other way, and a guy immediately rushed after him. I assume that's his beta…even the beta is so handsome, unlike Neil.

She didn't stop talking as we walked together, Lily suddenly changed directions “Lily that's not where my room is”

“It is princess, we'd changed your room's locations, you'd be staying close to king Darians now” I nodded and continued our talk

“Did you really stab her?” Lucy asked amid discussions.

“I didn't, she framed me”

“ I knew it, don't worry, I'd make sure they pay, personally” her face got darker, I could see her eyes get dark.

“Your eyes,” I pointed.

“Oh don't worry, we're here. It's just the both of you on this side tho, you can do whatever you want” she said with a sly smile and walked away with guards that were walking behind us.

Lily handed me a card and strode away. I exhaled and opened the door, walking in, it looked more luxurious than the one I stayed in a few days ago.

I walked in staring at the things in the room, I opened the window and stared in awe, it has a more clearer view.

I woke up from the sound of loud groans around, it was just me in the room…who's groaning?I rubbed my sleepy eyes standing up, I'd fallen asleep while watching the room.

The groans continued, I kept walking around the room, not the bathroom, not outside the window…. King Darian is in the next room, did something happen to him???

I opened my door and dashed out, I pushed his door and flew in…he lay on his bed, hand gripped his chest tight…face red and unseen tension in the room.

I waltzed towards the bed and gripped his hand away from his chest “are you okay?” He pushed me hard, I almost flew to the door, I exhaled and walked calmly to him.

“Are you okay?” My voice came again, this time he raised his head to look at me, I could see the pain in his red and teary eyes. This must be something painful even for the Lycan's king. I searched around his body for any injury and there wasn't.

Did someone assassinate him? I quickly opened the curtain but there was no sign of break in or…he suddenly pulled my hand and I twirled facing him, my eyes widened staring at him.
