Chapter 23: The Alpha From Another Time
Hearing a loud conversation in the next room, I leave the comfort of the kitchen after grabbing a snack from the fridge, and stroll into where Dominic and another much older Alpha whom I forgot his name is sitting. Remembering that I met him the second day I was here, doesn’t help to say the least because there were too many Alphas that I met that day and the next. However, the minute I step in the room, they both glare at me and then Dominic speaks up and says, “Ah, Ana my dear. We were just talking about you.”
Concerned immediately by this, I step back and start to leave before I hear something I shouldn’t have. But then Dominic bolts up out of his seat and grabs my forearm before leading me to a seat and stating, “I had been wondering when you would get up. It is past 1 in the afternoon.” His eyes full of challenge today, stare me down before I dare speak.
Knowing that means for me to be careful of what I say to the Alpha
