Chapter 9 - Test

Lance POV

This can’t be possible. I blink, but it doesn’t change.

I run my bloody finger along the deep gouge on Trinity’s cheek and my chest tightens.

My father steps closer to the bed and grunts, “What is it? Did something go wrong?”

My eyes widen and drift over to him. The words to explain it run through my head, but when I open my mouth nothing comes out. They are stuck on the lump in my throat.

I move my mouth, but still nothing comes out.

Confusion flashes across my father’s face. His patience runs thin as he barks, “Tell me what is going on.”

His command has me instinctively responding as I mumble, “It is gone.”

His face scrunches up as he stares at me. “What is gone? I don’t understand.” He turns his attention back to Trinity and slaps my hand away from her, before sliding his thumb over the area where the deep cut had been.

He instantly realizes what I’m referring to and snaps his eyes back up to me and gasps, “The cut. It is gone.”

In a daze, I nod.

His dad is an honory a**hole! I don't like him at ALL! Yeah, I'd say they're mates, unless Ms. Dee has something different in store for these 2 characters! I have no idea how you write your werewolf fantasy books! If they have bonds & fated mates, or if they have to mark one another 2 b stronger?!

OMG this is becoming more interesting and the prince needs to stand his decision if he wants to protect Trinity.
