chapter 25

OAKLEY

Dinner was so good and I was stuffed by the time we finished. It was a great time, chatting with marks parents, mark, his beta and gamma and meeting some of the pack members. It was getting late and quite a few of pack members had already left. most of the pack members who had children had already left and the rest were leaving here and there. Before long with was mark, his parents, my grandparents and myself left.

“Oakley, what are your plans dear?” Grams asked me.

“What do you mean?” I asked her.

“Well. Now that you have accepted the mate bond and been introduced to the pack to be the Luna are you going to be moving to the pack house now?” She asked. I froze at that. I hadn’t thought about that. It would make sense but was I ready for that? I felt someone probing at my mind so I opened the mind link.

“I know that you are nervous my angel and I promise I

will not pressure you into anything you aren’t ready for but

I

don’t think zorro and I can go another night

without

you by our side.” mark‘s voice came into my mind. Haven was basically implying that same thing in my mind. I guess it was going to happen eventually so I might as well.

“um i suppose I am. It is a little late to get all my things though.” I said.

“That’s okay. I have night clothes you can wear and we can go get your things tomorrow.” Mark said. My grandparents nodded.

“Okay.” I said. Saying goodbye to my parents and marks parents, we made our way up to the alpha floor to marks bedroom, or, our bedroom now I suppose. he opened the door and we walked in. The moment I stepped into the room I was surrounded by marks scent, calming my nerves some. I took a look around the room. there was a massive king size bed that had black and white bedding on one side of the Room. There was so many pillows. Over on the other side was a black leather couch with two black leather chairs. in front of them was a wooden coffee table. It looked much like the setup in his office. In between where his bed and couch were was a set of double doors that led to a balcony. I could see a bistro style table with a couple of chairs and off to the side was a porch swing made for two. It had a black and white canopy over it. Back in the room I could see a walk in closet that had one side full of marks clothes while the other side was empty. There were some drawers for clothes that didn’t get hung up. On the back wall of the closet was shelving for shoes. I could see that mark only had a couple of pairs. on the wall in front of where the couch and bed were located was a massive 80inch smart tv. It looked like it could be seen from the bed or the couch. Below the tv was a white tv stand with a couple of different gaming consoles and a dvd player. There was a shelf full of dvds. One either side of the tv and stand were some tall and wide black bookshelves full of books. I noted there was a couple of open shelves that looked like enough space for all of the books that I owned. There was another door on the same wall as the closet that I assumed was a bathroom. The floor was a dark cherry hardwood with a couple of black and white rugs here and there. A white mini fridge stood on the wall opposite the closet and bathroom on the other side of the bed. Next to it was a white cupboard that had shelves and some doors. There was some snacks on it and a microwave on the top. On either side of the bed were some blank night stands with drawers and black lamps with white shades. He sure has a thing for black and white I thought.

“It’s kind of fitting.” Haven said in my mind.

“What do you mean?” I asked her.

“well I am white and zorro is black.” She replied.

"He is?" I asked.

"Yes. At least that is what he has told me. We obviously haven't seen him. It is interesting though. A black and white wolf mated." She said thoughtfully. I pondered what she said. It took a moment before I realized that Mark was standing there and staring at me with a grin on his face.

"what?" i asked him, feeling a little embarrassed, hoping that I wasn't talking out loud to haven and just hadn't realized it. I tended to do that sometimes.

"Your cute when your talking to your wolf." he replied. I knew I was blushing.

"was i talking out loud?" I asked sheepishly.

"Nah. You just had that look that most people get when they are talking to their wolf." he responded. That made sense and I was glad that I was not talking out loud. Mark walked to the closet and came back with a long t-shirt and a pair of shorts.

"These might be a little big but they will get you through the night and we can go get your stuff tomorrow. Its a Saturday and so we usually take the weekends off the same way a human would in their office job. Of course sometimes things can come up that we need to attend too but that is usually pretty rare." He said as he handed the clothes to me. It seemed like he was rambling and nervous. It made me glad that I was not the only one.

"The bathroom is over there if you would like to change in private. I told you that I would not rush you into anything that you were not ready for." He said as he pointed to the door that I had assumed was the bathroom. I thanked him and then walked to the bathroom, opening the door. I turned on the light and closed the door behind me. I took a moment to look around the bathroom. It was massive. There was a clawfoot, deep bathtub that had jets in it on the back wall. One one side of me was a massive shower, it looked like it could fit ten people at once. There were multiple shower heads and a screen that was used for turning it off and on and all kinds of other fancy things. The outside of the shower was all glass. Between the shower and the tub was a toilet. On the other side of me was a pretty big sink with a huge mirror over it. It had a decent amount of counter space as well. There were some basic things like a toothbrush, toothpaste and comb alone with a few other things sitting there. Next to the sink was a tall built in cabinet. It was full of towels, wash cloths, toilet paper, many different soaps and medical items. All the towels and wash cloths were black and white. The bathmats in front of the shower, toilet and tub were also black and white. Behind me, hanging on the bathroom door, was a massive black fluffy black robe. I stripped out of my clothes and put on the shirt and shorts he had given me to wear. I neatly folded my clothes and set them on top of the black laundry basket by the door. I washed my face and then found an unopened toothbrush on one of the shelves that I opened and used to brush my teeth. Once I had completed everything that I needed to do I knew that I needed to go out into the room. I think maybe I was stalling some because I was nervous. But it was now or never. With a sigh I forced myself to open the door, turn off the light and step out of the bathroom.
