Robert POV.

I could hear Marissa’s panicked breathing through the phone, even though she didn’t answer me. Luckily, I came back to the nearby city last night because I had a meeting at the Mooncrest Summit, and I really needed to think about the triangle relationship I’ve fallen into.

Turning the car around, I floor it to take me to the town where Marissa’s house is located. Drifting around corners and running red lights to get to her, Nero and I were fighting for control. He doesn’t want me to go to her, to save her. He is being a complete prick.
