WHO’S EXCITED ABOUT HOMECOMING?
Chloe looked closer at the painting she drew a few days ago. She already drew the burning house which happened in real. It’s still hard to believe it. Is she physic?
“Did you buy the dress?” Sara leaned closer near Chloe’s bench in drawing class.
“What dress are you talking about?” Chloe asked, didn’t take her eyes off her painting. She is painting a princess. This time, her drawing is under her control.
“Don’t you know that?” Sookie poked her nose in the middle of their conversation.
“She doesn’t know that? Maybe she doesn’t have a date,” someone laughed over on the other side. Who will laugh like this except Becca’s friend?
“Shut up, Tiffany. Don’t you dare intrude between us.” Sara warned her but Tiffany avoided and walked over to Chloe’s table? the teacher is distracted by a phone call. So, the class was so noisy except for some students who are drawing without getting distracted.
“Just accept it. You don’t have a date for homecoming.”
“So what? I don’t care. I am already grieving Ruby’s death. Just go away,” Chloe replied, trying not to show her anger, which she never knows how to express. Who cares about Date in this situation? Tiffany is the same as Becca. Her friends will be cruel like her. Like attracts Like. Evil attracts evil.
“Iam talking with you. Stop painting,” Tiffany ordered and snatched the paintbrush from Chloe’s hand.
“Give it back to me” Chloe struggled to get it from her. Tiffany’s presence is annoying her and making her favourite painting class the worst one.
“I won’t. What are you going to do? Cry like a cry-baby,” Chloe doesn’t want to argue with her. She’s already in a grieving stage for her innocent friend. She can’t take any more problems.
“Take it, I don’t care,” Chloe shouted in front of the class and pushed every object down from her table. She rarely gets angry and goes crazy. Finally, she has thrown her painting down. All paints are spilt on the ground and her painting is spoiled. She didn’t give a damn care about her drawing. She can do it again and again.
“What’s happening here?” the teacher shouted, hung up the phone.
“Iam sorry, mam,” Chloe apologized and walked away without cleaning anything. She can’t bear the look of her teacher after making a mess at her table. She will never do something, but today her attitude feels different.
She walked up to her locker. She doesn’t expect anyone to follow her. But she heard someone’s footsteps near her. She thought it’s Sara or Sookie.
“Leave me alone” she shouted without seeing the person.
“What did I do?” she hears Ian’s Soft voice.
“Ian. Sorry, I thought it’s Sara,” she told him, biting her nails.
“You didn’t seem good. Anything you want to share?” He offered his help.
“It’s...” she started, but someone from Ian’s class called him.
“The class is going to start,” a boy shouted at him.
“I will come,” said Ian and turned to his friend.
“You should go,” she turned towards her locker, acting like looking for some books in her locker. Before Ian responded, someone walked towards Chloe.
“Here you are, being angry for a silly thing,” Tiffany spoke. Chloe doesn’t know why she is targeting her.
“Why don’t you go to your friend Becca than follow me?” she tried to act bravely which has never been her habit.
“Iam not following you, but it’s not the right time to see Becca,” her expression changed when Chloe mentioned Becca’s name.
“Hey, Chloe, can you come with me for homecoming?” Wes came behind tiffany and teased her. He doesn’t really want to go with her.
“No. There’s nothing wrong with going alone to homecoming. Stop messing around.” Chloe was about to cry. Having no date is not her problem, but seeing their faces randomly is upsetting her. Ruby’s dead now. Their attention is on her.
“What’s going on here? Someone should explain it,” Ian asked in confusion. Chloe stayed silent and Wes stepped towards her and grabbed her hands.
“I demanded you to come with me to homecoming. I didn’t request you.” he got hold of both of her hands tightly till it hurt.
“Let go of me,” In seconds Ian got Chloe out of his grip and spoke something not expected.
“Who told she doesn’t have a date? She’s coming with me. Now can you two go away?” Ian is still not clear about their conversation but he can somehow sense the disturbance they were causing.
Chloe looked at him in wonder. He’s always been her friend. Maybe he’s just telling this to make them go away.
“We are just playing with her. Who said I was going with her? I have a girlfriend. But are you seriously going with her?” Wes asked Ian, half-laughing.
“Yes. I will go with her, date her, kiss her. Have you got any issue with that?” Ian held Chloe close to his chest and firmly told this like they are already a couple. His words make her feel like it’s the truth.
“Whatever. Who cares about her?” Wes stepped back.
“But Iam watching you. I know someone in your family made a bigger problem with Becca. You are not going away with that,” Tiffany warned her. Chloe doesn’t have a single idea about that. But her words made her remember the video Ruby took in the bathroom. Her intuition is right. Tiffany is just predicting it but she really doesn’t know that’s the truth.
"I think they are blaming you and your sisters for Becca’s break-up," Ian told her the minute they left.
“What? she broke up with Daniel,”
“She didn’t. He did. Don’t you know about that? The news is spreading faster.”
“No,” she simply said and added. "You don’t need to come with me for homecoming. We are friends” Ian stared at her for a minute. She expected him he would say ‘Iam just pretending, idiot. You are my best friend,"
“Yes, I know. But I don’t care. Iam coming with you. I won’t let them come in your way again,” he said as he planned for this a very long time.
“But...” she’s still not sure about that.
“You are a senior,” said Chloe, looking up at him.
“One-year difference is not a problem. We are going as friends. It’s decided.” he confirmed, patting her shoulders. But he said he will date her, kiss her. That’s going on her mind.’he just said it to make Tiffany, Wes to leave. That’s doesn’t mean anything. I should not think about that. He’s my friend’ she thought to herself. Her thoughts suddenly shifted when she remembered about Becca’s breakup.
“And what about Becca’s break-up?”
“I don’t know. Someone took a video of her telling Becca is only being Daniel’s girlfriend for his money. My doubt is who would have sent it? Daniel isn’t a teenage boy. He’s an actor. How can someone in Roshord school easily contact him personally?” Ian wonders about that, tapping his feet on the floor.
“I don’t know about that too.” Chloe lied to him with difficulty. She’s no good at a lie. She’s the one who helped Ruby to send the video. She knows she can trust Ian. But it isn’t safe to tell this.
“What do you think about that? Will you appreciate the person who exposed it or curse them for doing it?” she asked him indirectly. She wants to know what will he think of her if he knows she’s behind it.
“Um... Becca isn’t truthful to him. So, I will neither appreciate nor curse. What’s done is done.”
“Why are you caring about that?” she added.
“No, I just want to know about your opinion,” she replied, sweat dripping over her face.
“Got to go. See you later,” Ian gave his beautiful smile and vanished from her sight. Soon, Chloe returned to her next class.
MEMORIES AND HEARTBREAKS Caleb is sitting on his couch having a photo of Ruby in his hands. There are no tears left to cry. He doesn’t want to go to school again. He paced back and forth in his room. Every memory of Ruby filled his mind. He still can’t forget the day he proposed to her. He can’t figure out why he’s so addicted to her. All he cares about is his passion and future. That’s why he never had any friends. He never cared about having a girlfriend until he met Ruby. Ruby is his obsession. ..... Caleb picked up Ruby from her home in his own car. The only car of Lowe’s family. “Where are you taking me?” Ruby happily asked him with her innocent smile. “You will see it soon.” they both locked hands and walked together into Caleb’s house. Somehow it feels like royalty. Caleb tied her eyes with a cloth and got her inside his house. At that time, they are just friends. Friends for more than four years. They bo
The girl slowly turned. “Taylor,” Ian breathed with a sigh of relief. What he said was true. Taylor has the same hair colour similar to Ruby. But she doesn’t look like Ruby. “What are you doing here?” Chloe asked. She can’t believe she has wrongly misunderstood the whole scenario. “What am I? I came here to shop for some dress for my brother and me.” Taylor explained and her brother came behind her looking perplexed by Chloe’s expression. “Sorry. It’s a misunderstanding. You can continue your work. We just came here to watch the movie,” Ian clarified. “Fine. Do you have anything to share? because Chloe looks so pale...” Taylor trailed off. “Nothing. I will take care of her” with that word Ian grabbed her arm and got out of the mall. “Trust me, Ian. I know how Ruby looks. It seems like our Ruby. What’s happening here?” Chloe still trying to prove it. “You need to calm down, Chloe. You still haven’t recovered from Ruby’s
A MESS New surroundings seem difficult for her. Deep inside her heart, she wants to join him. “You don’t want this. Nobody told me like this. You don’t need to work hard in your life. If you have any problems with your job, I will help you. Just be here for a while.” Her rejection hurts him. “But Daniel, Iam not feeling good these days after Ruby’s death and I don’t need help. I can able to manage my life with my current job,” she called his name for the first time. He seems a little happy hearing his name from her. “I understand you. Iam also having a difficult time due to a fake relationship. Won’t you help me?” “Um... I really want to. How about a hug?” she blurted. “Really! Iam okay with that,” ‘Oh no, why did I tell that?’ she thought to herself, stepping towards him awkwardly. She slowly hugs him. A shiver ran down her spine. In response, he wraps his arms around her. She felt so nervous and wants to step away bu
PASSED OUT Caleb punched his nose hard. Wes’s eyes watered. He was shocked by his sudden action. “How dare you?” Wes hissed, touching his bleeding nose. Tiffany stood beside Wes in surprise. Without warning, Wes punched Caleb in his stomach. He clutched his stomach in pain. Both sprang into action, fighting each other. All the students watched them but didn’t take a step to stop them. Tiffany motivated Wes to fight. Elliot’s trying to stop Caleb from fighting. “Professor Scott is coming. Stop fighting,” Bianca warned them, who they didn’t even hear her. She’s a Raven group cheerleader. She’s more concerned about Caleb because he got hurt in his life more than anyone. The footsteps got closer, and Scott entered the class, standing near the door. “What’s happening here? someone explain it,” He commanded. “I don’t know, sir. They are fighting. No one can stop them,” Bianca said in a panicked voice, staring at the p
WHAT A GREAT EMBARRASSMENT? “It’s me, Jason Lee. Don’t tell me you lost your memory?” He stepped towards her with a bowl of fried rice. “What’s this place?” Charlotte rubbed her eyes more than once. “It’s my home. You passed out. I took leave for both of us. Now how are you feeling?” He asked her with concern. “Somewhat okay. I haven’t eaten for a day.” “That’s why you need to eat,” Jason said, bringing a spoon full of rice to her mouth. “Are you going to feed me? Iam not a...” He fed her, stopping her from finishing speaking. “Hmm...it tastes good. I want more.” she licked her lips. Jason laughed and fed her until the bowl was empty. “You took leave for me. You may have any other works in a school.” “I have. Today we have swimming practise before the competition,” “Then why you take leave? You are the coach,” “I got it, dear. I appointed the best swimmer to take my place
BIANCA’S REQUEST A stern security guard looked down at four of the girls. They embarrassed Tiffany and got embarrassed by sneaking out on someone and sitting on the floor. “We... I am... we... are sorry,” Taylor stammered, and they ran before he said another word. When they came out, Tiffany and her friends already left. That’s a good thing. “Phew… we escaped,” Chloe let out a breath and looked at Ian, who was laughing at them. “Ridiculous girls. Now get in the car. Show time is over,” He called them and they followed him to his car. Ian took a seat in the driver's seat and Taylor was about to take a seat next to him. With hesitation, she turned towards Chloe. “Do you want to seat with him. He’s your date. I can’t interfere," she teased. “Nope. We are friends. Am I right, Ian?” Chloe asked and took a seat next to Sara and Sookie. “Yeah right.” He added, and Taylor kept silent for the rest of the time. …
Caroline stood in front of the mirror, seeing her new dress. She is wearing a simple light blue half-shoulder dress. The cafe is perfectly arranged in school. Care, Bill, Clary, and the others cooked everything. Lowe’s family got ready early. There’s more time for the party. “Am I looking cute?” Charlotte asked her sister. She’s in Light grey tulle with flowers fashionable party dress. “Perfect. You seem so happy?” “Homecoming isn’t for me but Iam going to see Jason,” she winked. Chloe and Caleb waiting in the hall. Ring. Ring. Caroline took her phone to see who was calling at this time. “Daniel,” she spoke with excitement. They both talked on the phone sometimes after she visited his mansion. But she didn’t expect him to call at this time. “You are leaving for the party, right?” “Yes. Come outside,” he commanded. She didn’t question him and came out of her house. She is shocked to see a limo right in front of her house. The bl
GOODBYE He took her to the Balcony through the stairs. It’s the best view to see the night sky, stars. “I will come here regularly to find some peace,” he breathed slowly. She nodded and was lost in thoughts. “So, what do you think of me?” He asked her still looking at the sky. “You are a celebrity and I always admired your movies,” he stopped her by telling “Whoa, stop. Iam not asking about the past when I don’t even know you. Tell me, what do you think of me after we met?” He explained. “I... I was disappointed at first seeing you with a Becca. Then I fixed something in my mind. You are rude and mean in real life just like her. Soon, I didn’t feel like you were bad. Iam still regretting slapping you in front of everyone.” “Iam so over it. I didn’t feel embarrassed,” “Why you didn’t get angry with me? You can even make my life miserable for slapping you. Why you didn’t do that?” she widened her eyes waiting for answer
