Hazel’s P.O.V. (Continued)

“A year, Hazel. I fought hard against the mate bond for a whole year when all I wanted was to mark you and f**k you senselessly. It was so hard, and now you are here.” He spoke with the same sinister tone while looking at me with lust.

“Tonight, for a second, I felt as if I sensed your wolf. I swear that was the most overwhelming feeling." My heart almost leaped out of my mouth when the words came out of his mouth.

"But I knew that it was only my mate bond with you playing with my emotions so that I accept you, but I need a strong and powerful mate like Naisha, not a wolf-less omega like you.”

His words filled with disgust for me still hurt like hell.

“Then stay away from this worthless wolf-less omega, Keith. You know what.” I spat, straightening my back, but didn’t go away from the edge of the counter.

I was now breathing heavily; the drug took affect on my body. I wanted to rip off my clothes to get some relief. Even the coldness of the AC in the bar felt hot.

Keith laughed harder this time and pounced on me.

“Get off me.” I yelled in panic, pressing my hands on his chest and pushed him away again.

But he didn’t budge and held me tightly on my shoulders.

“Stop fighting, Hazel. You want me as much as I and my wolf want you,” He cooed sinisterly, but it only made me feel like puking.

I moved my face away in panic and his lips landed at the junction of my neck. I gasped aloud when a tingling sensation spread all over my body.

Damn it. My body leaned towards him on its own.

No. I can’t let this disgusting piece of s**t win.

I tried to push him again when he tried to press his lips hard there.

“Get off me.” I yelled again, and without thinking, kneed his balls with as much force as I could gather.

“Aaahhhh.” He screamed in pain and immediately moved away, cupping his manhood; his eyes almost popped out of their sockets because of pain; veins bulging out of his temples and forehead.

I staggered away from him and almost fell forward because of the affect of the drug.

“You b*tch. You dare to hit me.” Keith yelled angrily, pain still evident in his voice.

My vision started blurring, but I knew that I had to go away as soon as possible. I couldn’t let Keith ruin me.

I mustered my courage and looked in his direction.

“I, Hazel White, daughter of Nester White, reject you, Keith Locke, Alpha of Black Lotus Pack, as my mate and my alpha. May the Moon Goddess sever our ties forever.” There was no hesitation or pain in my voice, only sheer determination.

All I could feel for him right now is disgust.

He immediately clutched his chest tightly and fell to his knees again as he was about to stand up.

He looked at me in disbelief, but I wasn’t better than him.

The rejection hurt more than it should have, as he had already finished marking the ceremony with someone else.

Or it might be because of the drug in my system or Xyla’s absence; I felt like dying.

It sobered me up a little, but I needed to get out at any cost.

Keith was now enraged, and he growled aloud in pain and anger while clutching his chest tightly.

“How dare you?” he roared, but I started crawling on the floor towards the exit.

The good thing was that he had sent away everyone.

So, no one to stop me.

“You s**t.” he roared, and I gasped in horror when he grabbed my right ankle.

Without looking back, I kicked hard. My shoe struck his face as he was still on the floor.

He howled aloud in pain, and I scrambled towards the door.

I was now on the verge of stripping off my clothes at any time.

I stood up out of the door with the wall support and tugged my collar harshly.

My vision was now blurred, but I kept on walking straight. I remembered that there was a back exit after turning right a few feet away.

So, I didn’t stop. “Come back, you s**t. You can’t go away from me.” Keith roared aloud behind me, making me almost run in that direction.

At some point, I tore off my collar, exposing my neck and the upper part of my breast.

I was now out of strength too. I moved according to my memory and suddenly collided with a wall.

Alexander’s P.O.V.

I regretted coming to Keith’s mating ceremony the most. Keith was distracted during the whole ceremony, and it was noticed by everyone present in the room.

So, Naisha Holt wasn’t his fated mate as he had claimed.

I watched the whole ceremony with an amusing smirk dancing on my lips. No matter if she was his fated mate or not, he shouldn’t make a joke like this on her special day.

Even when he marked Naisha, he was looking at someone else, I guess.

At least I didn’t feel bored while listening to the gossip going around about them.

Right after finishing the marking, he slipped away, leaving his mate standing stunned at the altar, facing those mocking gazes alone.

Our pack was in alliance with the Black Lotus Pack, and as the present alpha of my pack, the Stone Shadow Pack, I had to come here.

I also left as early as I could from the joke of that ceremony and headed towards my hotel to get my luggage so that I could leave this pathetic pack.

The air felt suffocating here. On top of that, Velan, my wolf's constant nagging was getting on my nerves.

I stopped my car at the bar a little far from the hotel and got out of the car.

“What’s wrong?” My beta, Hunter, asked me while approaching me as he was in the other car behind me.

“Velan happened. I guess I need a strong drink before we set off for the pack.” I grumbled while walking towards the entrance of the bar.

“I am coming with you.” He told me behind me.

“Nah. It’s just a drink. You go to the hotel and ask Bill to drive my car too. I will walk to the hotel after the drink.” I replied to him nonchalantly, walking towards the entrance without looking at him while waving my hand casually.

I thrust my one hand in my pant pocket and played with my phone in my other hand while walking.

A tall and burly he-wolf suddenly appeared in front of me and stopped me at the entrance of the bar.

I recognized him as Keith’s beta.

“I am sorry, Alpha Nickelson, but the bar is closed for tonight.” He apologized to me while bowing his head, but I furrowed my brow.
