Eliana:
“I don’t even know how to walk in these” I said referring to the heels Mrs. Nermine wanted me to try on, their red color enchanting, but I couldn’t walk in them.
“What girl doesn’t know how to walk wearing heels?” Mrs. Nermine asked frowning in confusion, her expression genuine.
“Me?” I answered, though my answer sounded like a question, she nodded at me and encouraged me to wear the heels, I looked at them with worry in my eyes, fearing falling in them or breaking them, I would never be able to pay their price if they broke.
“We’re going shopping after this. You need to look your very best when meeting my Alessio” Mrs. Nermine said casually, her eyes on my ankles as I wore the heels. She nodded at me to stand up and walk in them, I hesitated for a second before doing as told and standing up, taking a step forward and almost tripping on my weight as I walked like some penguin.
