Kash did what he promised. He was good at cooking and making delicious soup.

Thanks to him, my body recovered quite a lot.

And just as I was going to fill my bowl with mushroom soup for the third time, Kash stopped me.

His eyes narrowed as he smiled, "While I'm making juice, you are going to eat again?"

Seeing that my plan had failed, I put the bowl in the sink in frustration. He put down the half-cut fruit and walked over. "I'll clean this. You go watch TV on the comfortable couch."

I nodded in disinterest. He suddenly got me back, and I stood between the sink counter and his body.

"Unhappy because I don't let you have your soup?"

I didn't say anything, pouting and looking away.

He let out a laugh, "The doctor said that starting tomorrow, you can eat food. I mean real food. I'll take you to eat pizza."

My eyes lit up. "Really?"

"I promise."

Kash’e eyes were full of affection as he let go of me. He patted my back and drove me to the sofa. He went back to the kitchen.
