Stein hadn't reached out since I disconnected and switched my phone off. After that meeting with Mr Thompson, the youngest tech wizard who graduated top of his class, I had switched my phone on, expecting a barrage of calls from Stein, but I got nothing, which was odd.

The Stein, I knew, wouldn't have stopped calling because I asked him to. He would have bombarded me with messages and calls until I stopped ignoring him.
