The dawn of new powers

"What is going on? Is this demon in front of me much more than the ones I usually meet?" Alex said to himself. His alertness increased. Not only did Alex have to think about how to drive this creature out of its true form, he also had to think about how to erase the memories of Liam and the restaurant owner once everything was done. If they remembered everything, Alex's secret could be revealed.

The waiter looked at Alex intently, his gaze almost piercing the soul, and seemed to say, "Oh! I recognise you now. You're the half-human, half-vampire creature? You're not my opponent, little snot-nosed boy! Stay away from this place. This is not your fight. Stay out of my way! Or I will be forced to slaughter rare creatures like you!"

Alex gave a wry smile! His heart always felt offended when an astral being made fun of him. What if he was half human and half vampire? Did he ask for that? No, he did not! It had been that way since he was born. He himself did not know whether his mother was of the vampire race or his father. He already lived alone in that big house. Well, not really alone, because there was an old servant of the vampire race who had been looking after him since he was a child. But the existence of the servant did not change anything, because he kept all information about Alex's identity under wraps. "Huh! Do I always have to hear that!" Alex called to himself.

"Go away. You're no match for me." The creature said in an arrogant tone.

Liam, seeing his best friend looking at the waiter in front of him without saying a word, could only guess what was going on. Liam thought that maybe Alex was talking to the creature that possessed the waiter through his thoughts.

"Are you going to leave on your own? Or will I remove you by force?" Alex communicated with the creature again with the power of his mind.

"Try if you can. I'm just telling you, you're a half-blood creature, you could die in my hands!"

Alex looked at Liam and the restaurant owner, his only hope was to vanquish this creature and then hypnotise Liam and the restaurant owner. But if the hypnosis failed, he would ask his friends from the vampire race to bite Liam and the restaurant owner. This would turn them into vampires and keep Alex's secret safe.

"I'm sorry, Liam. I wish I could hypnotise you after this." Alex muttered to himself and went into his half-vampire mode. His eyes turned red and fangs appeared on his upper and lower teeth.

***

Alex attacked the creature with lightning speed. He pushed the creature with both hands and it jumped away. But suddenly the creature was behind Alex and attacked him from behind.  Alex fell down.

Alex didn't care about Liam and the restaurant owner, who were frozen in their seats watching his fight with the creature possessing the waiter. The only thing he cared about at the moment was how to win.

Truth be told, Alex could feel the adrenaline rushing through him as he faced off against the mysterious creature. He truly felt that his strength as a half-blood would not be able to defeat this creature.

"Shit! What am I going to do?" with his breath in his throat, Alex continued to think about how to attack his enemy.

"You chose your own death!" The creature shouted grimly, then with the speed of lightning was suddenly on top of Alex's body, ready to attack Alex's head with a knife that came out of nowhere.

"Even though you are only a half vampire, I will chop off your head as a tribute to half-beings like you!" He shouted, ready to cut off Alex's head.

Liam, seeing the creature ready to chop off Alex's head, of course acted immediately. No matter what kind of creature his friend was, he couldn't just let Alex die. Without thinking, Liam picked up a chair and smashed it on the body of the waiter who was possessed by the evil creature.

Of course, this made Liam the target of the creature. "What a weak human being! How dare you hit me from behind!" The creature shouted as it crushed Liam and lifted his body high into the sky.

Alex, whose condition was not too good, was shocked to see what Liam had done for him. If Alex counted, he and Liam had only been friends for a year, but why would Liam sacrifice himself to save Alex? Even after seeing Alex's non-human form.

"Liaam?" Alex shouted as he tried to stand up. No matter what, he had to save Liam. He didn't want to owe anyone anything.

"Let Liam go!" Alex shouted at the top of his lungs and suddenly there was a flash of blue in his eyes. In an instant, Alex's red eyes turned blue. Completely injured and in a difficult situation, Alex felt a strong desire to fight back. Perhaps this strong desire came from his desire to save Liam. With quick movements, Alex attacked the creature and freed Liam from its stranglehold.

"Are you all right, Liam?" Alex asked Liam, which was only answered with a small nod from Liam.

"Get away from here!" Alex said briefly as the creature suddenly attacked him from behind but he successfully blocked it with his hand. "Go Liam!" Alex ordered, pushing the creature until it fell to the ground. The creature attacked Alex again and once again Alex successfully dodged the creature's counterattack. He felt a surge of energy inside him, giving him greater speed and reflexes.

While the creature was still surprised by Alex's unexpected reaction, Alex grabbed the knife from under his cloak. With precise movements, Alex launched his counter-attack. The knife spun through the air and landed in the creature's chest. The creature screamed in pain before vanishing in a mysterious flash of light, the knife also vanishing without a trace.

Alex gasped for air, his knees barely able to support the weight of his own body. He could feel his injuries beginning to bother him. Unfortunately, there was still something Alex had to do.

I don't know what made him do that, but as if directed by something, Alex closed his eyes and placed his right hand on the floor. And instantly a blue wave swept across the room. Liam and the restaurant owner were suddenly silent for a moment and with a snap of their fingers they came to and forgot everything.

The blue flash that had appeared in his eyes slowly faded. His eyes returned to their original colour and he felt the weakness begin to set in.

Alex was tired, but he knew he had managed to drive the creature away without arousing suspicion. He continued his conversation with Liam, hiding his tiredness.

"A, why are we here?" Liam asked Alex. Alex was momentarily surprised and although he didn't know exactly what had happened to him, he realised that Liam's memories of his battle with the entity had disappeared.

"You always forget Liam. Weren't we just about to order food in that restaurant? You were busy chatting to the owner." Alex said.

"Really?" As if he didn't believe what Alex said, Liam's forehead wrinkled like clothes that hadn't been ironed for weeks.

"It's true! Why would I lie to you?" Alex said to Liam, then suddenly manoeuvred to look at the restaurant owner. "And yes, sir! You must know me, right? I'm known to have six senses and the whole town trusts me! So my advice is to be less stingy! THE FENG SUI OF YOUR RESTAURANT IS NOT GOOD BECAUSE OF YOUR MISERLINESS!"

The restaurant owner looked shocked and embarrassed by what Alex had said. He just smiled wryly and nodded.

"So what do we do? Do we buy food here?" Alex asked Liam, who looked like he was thinking about something very hard - like a piece of his memory was missing.

"I think we're just going to cook. I really don't remember us wanting to buy food in this restaurant." He said and walked out, his eyebrows knitted and his forehead furrowed.

After they had left the restaurant, Liam said, "A? I don't know what's going on but I feel like something is missing from my memory! It's like time has stopped for a moment and my memory is fading. Liam gave his professor a little massage on the forehead.

Alex smiled mysteriously. "Maybe it's just how you feel. This restaurant has a unique atmosphere. I didn't see anything with my senses!" Alex lied as usual.

"Is that true?"

"True!!!"

They continued their journey home, and silently Alex knew that he had lied to Liam a lot and erased Liam's memory. But that was much better than turning Liam into a vampire.
