CHAPTER 49

I ended up falling asleep in that tree but I woke up the next morning in the spare bedroom and Connor was asleep next to me.

I went to the kitchen and Miles was there with a coffee, leaning against the bench looking out the window at the warriors training.

“Morning.” He said.

“Hi. How did I end up inside?” I asked.

“Connor brought you in after you fell asleep.” He said.

“I was up a damn tree. How the hell did he not wake me up?” I asked, pouring myself a coffee.

“You’ll have to ask him that.” Miles smirked.

“What have you got planned today?” I asked.

“I don’t know. There’s training, more training and more training.” He said.

“That sounds like the obvious choice then.” I said.

“Yeah. Kind of does, doesn’t it.” He said. “What about you?” He asked.

“I have to try and find a hidden castle.” I said.

“That doesn’t make any sense.” He said.

“I know. But it will when I find it.” I said.

“Good luck with that then.” He said.

“Thanks.” I said.
