CHAPTER 50

A little while later someone knocked on the door and I knew that I was the only one home so I got up and I went to answer the door.

Stacy was standing there holding her newborn baby, looking really exhausted and I invited her in.

“Is everything alright?” I asked.

“I don’t know. I haven’t slept in three days.” She said, putting the baby bag on the table.

“Alright. Give him here to me. There is a spare bedroom downstairs. It was a basement but Miles turned it into a bedroom. Apparently he gets a lot of guests sometimes.” I said.

“Yeah. That’s when his family comes to visit.”

“I thought he didn’t get along with his family.” I said.

“Not with his dad. But his siblings and their families come to visit. And there’s a lot of them.” She said.

“Well, that makes sense. You go downstairs and get some sleep. I will stay with the baby and get as much sleep as possible. Don’t worry about little Jacob here. I’ve got it under control. ” I said.

“Thank you so much.” She said.
