Slave To The Cursed Alpha

The bright day turned into darkness within seconds, the warm breeze turned to chilling wind and all that was clear became nebulous. Lucius’s heart raced as his mum tucked him into bed and as a little boy, the responsibility he grew into made him realize what he felt was an ominous feeling.

“I'm scared.” His tiny voice shaken by the horrible atmosphere filled his mother’s ears.

“I know, I am scared too. Promise me you won’t come out of your room.” She ran her hands through his soft locks and held his cold little hands in a strong grip, calming him and scaring him at the same time.

“What is going on, It was just bright a while ago and warm. Is something bad going to happen?” He was a smart kid with the blood of an alpha, so he knew he could ask questions.

Becky, Lucius’s mum sighed, “Yes my love, something bad might happen that’s why I’m here to protect you, make sure you do not come out of your room. Stay here, in safety.” Her voice hardened.

Lucius's eyes closed and he took a deep breath to control his feelings, he had started his alpha training, so he knew a few things about how to be a leader and as he was taught, a leader is never meant to be scared. “Okay Mum, good night.”

He forced a small smile on his face so that his mum could feel better.

“I love you.” She kissed him and rose up from her sitting position beside his bed. “No matter what you hear, do not come out.” She repeated and left the room, dimming the lights as she walked out.

Lucius  squeezed his bedsheets tight as the noises from his window intensified, he wanted to check what was going on, but he was scared to move. A few minutes later he covered his ears and shut his eyes tight as he hid under his duvet.

What seemed like an hour later, he slowly opened his eyes and let go of his ears, all he could hear was the wind and his beating heart, no noise, no screams.

Lucius  slowly sat up from his bed and walked to his window. What he saw was nothing he could have ever imagined, his mum was in the hands of a witch, the sworn enemy of the werewolves. Becky looked dead, Little Lucius  looked for the voice to scream but he couldn’t.

He watched in despair as his dad in his wolf form ran towards his mate, “Becky!” His dad screamed at the pain he felt as he saw his mate looking lifeless on the shoulder of the witch.

“Let her go!” Davis growled with all his might in command.

The witch's lips twisted into a small wicked smile and she threw Becky’s body to a reasonable distance so that she could face Davis. As she was about to attack she noticed a pain in her neck and stopped in her steps, she touched the place and found blood.

“She bit me?” The witch blinked in surprise, she thought Becky was already unconscious before she flung her on her shoulder.

“That’s no ordinary bite, that’s a wolf mark. You will become a slave to her, only a Luna or alpha with pure blood can do, and undo that with the use of mark from our teeth.” It was Davis's turn to take the upper hand.

She commanded the wind to hold him back but she was losing her strength due to the strain on her neck.

Lucius who was tired of watching the whole scene ran down and out of the house to hold his mum who he thought was dead.

The witch in her full power, faced Davis and started chanting a curse “You will never know you mate again!” Just as the words came out of her mouth, Lucius  ran in between his dad and the witch towards his mum. But in that second a lot of things changed, the witch's eyes were distracted and moved to Lucius as the curse left her lips.

The curse was so that she could make Davis forget his mate and make him a strengthless Alpha because, for the werewolves, Luna always gives the alpha more strength when they are together. She wanted to weaken him and kill him, then take Becky away to find a cure for the mark she had given her on her neck.

Lucius  unaware of what just happened ran to his mum “Mummy!” He screamed in pain.

Becky, on hearing his voice, slowly opened her eyes, sadness took over the pain she got in her body immediately.

Lucius  noticed “I’m sorry, I saw everything through the window, I…I couldn’t just stay and watch without doing anything.” He sobbed painfully,

“I love you, never forget that.” She struggled to say, bl.oo.d pouring out of her eyes, mouth and ears.

“I know, and I love you too.” He wrapped his little arms around her like he was going to protect her.

She was too weak to tell him to run, so she stayed quietly to savor what might be the last moment she would have with her son.

Davis seeing what just happened ran towards Lucius  and Becky. The action gave the witch enough time to summon thunder and it struck Davis from behind.

Lucius  found his voice and growled in pain with his small voice. “Dad!” Davis fell on his knees right before Becky and his son.

“Lucius, I want you to run. Do not turn back, just run south to the pack, tell them our family vacation at the east of the sudden river was shortened with the attack of a witch and they should prepare for war!”

“But Dad I can’t leave you?” He sobbed even harder, his little mind seemed to know that it was the last time he would ever see them.

“You are not leaving me,” He forced a smile on his face, the irony of how he truly felt inwardly, he was in so much pain but had to look strong for his son.

“Take this, I will always be with you.” He painfully handed over his gold with inlaid rubies pendant necklace to him “This is a pure-blood Alpha jewel, if you have it, the whole pack will follow your command, I am your dad and you shall rule after me.” He concluded, “Now run!” Davis's eyes glowed gold and then a pure b.lo.od red as he passed his powers to his son.

Lucius stood up and ran, he kept running and running he didn’t look back, when he was far enough he turned, with his werewolf sight and the powers his dad had passed to him, his vision went through the trees and fog, “Too bad your son will carry your curse.”

The witch said as she used her finger to bore a hole into his father's heart and brought it out. Lucius  trembled as he was tempted to run back but he could not. He shut his eyes and declared his parents dead as he pushed himself toward the south.

Twenty years later, the witch’s curse was still upon him. After the death of his parents and the war was won against the witch, he became the alpha of the now greatest pack.

They were the most feared pack and most respected pack because they had won the war against the witches and was led by just a little boy.

Lucius  was now a mature man, grieving his parents death because the trauma never healed, his thirty-fifth birthday was at hand and he and his people had searched for a cure for the curse over the years but found none.

Until early this year, a werewolf seer blessed by the moon goddess, they call them moon readers, came to join his pack saying that she had a destiny to fulfill here. Just a look on her Alpha Lucius , she could tell that he was cursed and she immediately told him the way he can lift the curse. “The curse can be lifted when you mate with your true Luna”.

“How will I know my true Luna if I can scent who my mate truly is,” he asked,

“I will see it and get back to you on your next birthday ceremony.” She bowed and left.

Lucius  stood on the balcony of his room in the Paramount pack house. His room was on the top floor where only he, his mum, and his dad’s room was situated. Now he stays on the floor alone. The other floors below him were filled with pack members of different levels and duties.

His pack was created on one of the mountains in the south, it was the biggest pack and now the greatest pack in the whole history, he admired all his territories from the height of his room and felt accomplished, “Mum and dad would be proud of me, if they were here.” He smiled, the thought of it lifted his mood.

In his relaxed state, he noticed someone run through the field, he switched his vision to get a good look at who it was, the person’s movements seemed innocent.

It was a girl, he didn’t see her face well but her hair was a dark shade of blonde, her features were explicit yet she was fully dressed, though she still looked innocent in a way, he didn’t get a good look at her face well enough, a mind pushed him to follow her but he had dropped the sleeping around act since he was told that there is a possibility for the curse to be lifted.

“I’ll let this one go…for now” He licked his lips and smiled as he watched her until she was out of his sight, someone could say if he sees her again he would make sure she lands in bed with him.
