Chapter Five

Few hours later, I had packed my clothes into my bag and taken it to the bus. I couldn't wait to get to the Werewolf Academy but I'll definitely miss my brother and maybe Tess because I didn't understand her behavior lately.

Kayden was already crying as I arranged my bag beneath some bags to make sure it was secured and safe. I could see the tears in his eyes, he definitely didn't want to be separated from me. "Sis, don't go," he pleaded and I wiped his tears with my hands. "I'll miss you so much, you're the only one I have left."

How could I tell him that if I didn't go they'd kill him? I definitely had to go to the Werewolf Academy to find out about them. I patted his back and smiled at him. "Kayden, I'm doing this for us and I'm sure I'll come back stronger to save you. I love you and nothing will ever get us separated."

He nodded and hugged me.

It felt so comfortable that I didn't want that moment to end. I wanted to cry but I managed to stop the tears from flowing down my cheeks, they only occupied my eyes. "Alright sis, please promise me."

I placed a kiss on his forehead. "I'll be back, just stay safe." I promised.

Deep down in my heart, I knew they wouldn't let me out of the Werewolf Academy once I got in but I would try my best to sneak out.

The driver accompanied me into the bus and I occupied a seat at the back with Tricia. As the bus engine revved, I felt a moment of peace.

"Are you feeling okay?" Tricia asked, a little bit concerned.

I nodded. "I guess so, it's not easy though."

She smiled cheekily. "I understand, you have to leave your brother behind to go to the Werewolf Academy. Once they let you in, they won't let you out. I've heard of their strictness."

I chuckled. "You're even more lucky, they'll take care of you because you're a wolf. I'm just a human who can do nothing."

"No, our werewolves are nothing compared to the wolves from the academy and especially the Cursed Alpha's powers."

The Cursed Alpha? I knew I heard that name before.

"Tell me about him, I'd like to know more about him."

"I also don't know much about him except for the fact that he is arrogant, rude and heartless." She replied.

Now, that was definitely someone to stay away from. No wonder people despised him a lot.

"I can't wait to get into the academy and make friends."

She rolled her eyes. "You've got to know who you're making friends with. There are backstabbers, betrayals and murderers in...."

My eyes widened. Murderers??? In a school??? "Wait, are you kidding me?" I was shocked.

"No, there are murderers in that Academy and you just have to stay away from them. I don't know if it's true though, it's actually a rumor."

I blinked. How was I supposed to know them? Why didn't anyone tell me all these? I had started to believe it was a silly idea to follow Tess to her pack.

Won't I be more traumatized?

"How am I supposed to know them?"

"No one knows them, just be careful."

The bus pulled to a stop in front of a big school and we both got down. "This is the Werewolf Academy," he turned to me. "It'll be like a normal school for you because you're human, you might not get to participate in Werewolf games and fun but you can make friends and find your mate."

"My mate?" I asked, surprised.

He nodded and turned to Tricia. "You'll participate in Werewolf activities, congratulations,"

Wasn't that a little bit boring? How was I supposed to know my mate? Should I just go for the one who picks me?

"Come," The driver ordered and I followed him into the Academy. I could see many students gnashing their teeth and glaring their eyes at me.

I wondered how surprised they would feel knowing that a human was in their midst. Did they hate humans? The angry looks on their faces actually made me nervous and scared.

He took me to what seemed like a house and knocked on their door. Two people came out of the door and looked at me with a smile on their faces. I assumed they were wolves because their eyes turned red when they saw me. I didn't even know what they meant by that.

"Is this a beautiful human?" The woman asked..

At least, she was nice to use the word 'beautiful'. Maybe they were not that bad after all?

The driver nodded and turned to me. "As from today, they'll be your new family who will take care of you while you're in this academy." He announced and I nodded slightly.

They took me inside their house and closed the door after them. "What's your name?" The man asked with a grin on his face.

"I'm Hailey Marquis."

"We're Brandon's family," The woman added quickly and caressed my cheeks. "Oh my Gosh, you're so beautiful and unique. I can't wait for the mate picking ceremony to begin."

A huge smile appeared on my face. "Thanks for willing to accommodate me." I murmured. It was only normal and nice for me to appreciate them for their good gestures.

"You don't have to thank us, we were the only ones willing to bring a human into the academy. After the first war with the vampires, the Werewolf clans discarded themselves from the humans."

A war? Oh no, I hope I won't fight wars soon. Since I was just a human, I guess I should be a little bit relaxed.

"Sounds interesting,"

"I'm sure you'll have fun, I also have a daughter."

I smiled nervously but pleased. At least, I would have a friend or someone to trust.

"Ma'am, where will I stay?"

"Why don't you figure it out yourself? We want to test your thinking and ability skills." Mr Brandon suggested.

I shrugged.

Standing up, I climbed the stairs and was confused at once when I saw three rooms. Which room did they want me to stay in? I'd never been this confused.

Immediately I pushed the door of the first room open, the naked body of a handsome and sexy guy caught my attention. There was a guy in the room who had just come out from the bathroom, naked.

I screamed, shocked.

I was not supposed to see a guy's nakedness.
