Chapter Thirty-Seven

"Where have you been?" Sophia asked as I came into the room. I was excited to see that they all saw the night. Henry was playing with stones in a corner and he smiled when he saw me.

I countered immediately. "I should be asking you where were you last night. I can't believe none of you woke me up before the fight started."

"You were sleeping and I personally didn't want to wake you up."

"That was definitely a bad excuse."

"And you? Where did you hide?"

"I found somewhere safe to hide," I answered. "Besides, I've been busy." I added with a sigh. Why was she asking me all these questions? Wasn't she tired already?

She frowned at me, not convinced. "Busy doing what?"

"You're certainly not interrogating me right now?" I asked and slumped down on the sofa. "I was at the backyard picking up some dirts in preparation for the Princess's brother arrival." I lied.
