Chapter 23

"Come over here and tell your Mom everything you have learnt recently" Nicklaus ordered nonchalantly as he looked at Noah.

"Ahhh" Noah wailed but when he saw Nicklaus looking at him coldly, he immediately agreed to do so. Then he got out of the sofa and sat on the bed beside Meredith's unconscious body. He began telling her about his recent homework like a monk chanting sutras...

While Noah was blabbering about his homework, Nicklaus sat on a sofa not far away and stared at Meredith. However, his gaze was drifting and the darkness in his deep and vast eyes were surging, but no one could tell what he was thinking.

"Dad, I'm done" After about half an hour, Noah was done telling Meredith what he has learnt for the past one month. Right after that, he jumped from the bed to the sofa like he was just relieved of a heavy burden.
