Meanwhile, on the other side...

A man with a cold face and hardened jaw appeared lost in thought as he stared at the towering trees in front of him. As far as the eye could see, only the greenery from the leaves filled the scenery.

Amid his silence, he was actually contemplating various matters in his mind, including Irene's reasons for leaving him abruptly without a trace.

"Was I too harsh on her that she left me without any word? It's been over four days now, and she still hasn't shown any sign of her whereabouts," he mused to himself.

In fact, right when Irene left, Adam saw her injured foot quite clearly. For some reason, that sight triggered a surge of guilt within him. Perhaps that's why Adam allowed Irene to board a black car that drove her away.

Adam cursed himself for letting Irene go, his gaze fixed on the departing car in the middle of the road, as rain began to fall, soaking his fur.

"I have to get her back..." Adam muttered, clenching his fist unconsciously.
