Chapter Seven

Evie stormed to the throne room and thankfully her parents were seated there, talking about the same war.

"Evie?"

"A war?" Evie asked. "Why go to war now?" She was sure everything was fine a few days ago. Her father had made sure to stay away from his clan and any boundary whatsoever. She didn't like that they were going to go to war again.

"Mother, can you debrief me on this, please?" Her mother didn't look any happy at all.

She looked devastated by the news.

"Not now, Princess." The Queen mumbled, following up on the news she had heard.

"But Mom, you should know that I'm old enough to know about the Kingdom's affair. Most importantly, about a war looming up." She didn't back down like her mother wanted her to, but instead pushed it further.

"Go to your room. I'll send some items to you and your friends." Her mother dismissed her with a wave of her hand.
