Something to think about

Keenan's POV:

After three days of working and turning wrenches I finally finished replacing the alternator in my mustang. I stood up and ran my now black hands through my sandy blonde hair. I felt accomplished really. All that is now left to do is go and turn it over and try it out. Soon I heard the beautiful purr of the engine.

"Finally finished?" I knew that voice well. My friend Adam came walking up.

"Yup. Don't it sound wonderful?" I turned to him with a smile holding my hand out.

"She sure does. Of course you could have saved your time and took it to the shop and for a rental. " He smiles while shaking my hand.

He thinks that just because my parents are loaded I should use that money without hesitation. It's true. my dad is the owner of a dozen hotels and my mom is a neurosurgeon. Oddly enough, they have three children.

Mia, who is only 18. Zack, who is 21. And me, the oldest 25. Mia hasn't fully figured out what she wants to do with her career, Zack is helping dad run the hotels and I am the owner of a oil rig.

Now I know what you're thinking. Yes I chose blue collar over city. however I wouldn't have it any other way. Adam doesn't understand though. Since I was 15 I loved doing things for myself, even though if I were to ask my parents would gladly help me out, I just like knowing that I did this on my own.

"Dude so hear me out. Me and Jason are going to this cool new bar. Please come with us this time." He gave me his best puppy dog eyes.

"Fine. one beer and I'm done." I gave him a defeated sigh.

"Yes! I'll be here at 7." He ran to the door and left.

'ugh why do I always have to say yes?' I think.

'Because he's your Gay friend and don't want to hurt his feelings. ' my wolf Conri says in reply.

'That question was rhetorical Conri.' I say and he just shrugs and goes back to the back of my brain.
