Chapter 9: Losing Chances

"Oh! I didn't know that you would come here!" Flora told Brandon when he sat on the couch. "It is fine!" Brandon answered and looked at Stella who was still standing near them. "You can sit now!" Brandon told her, and Stella just looked at him. "Can I talk to you for a second?" Stella told him and started walking away. Brandon stood up and followed her in the kitchen.

"What are we going to talk about?" Brandon asked her, "My sister doesn't know about you and I know she will be here at any time." Stella said, and Brandon nodded his head. "Then?" Brandon asked her, "You didn't get my point!" Stella answered and walked back and forth.

"Then explain to me!" Brandon told her and stopped her from walking. "I'm tired of explaining myself so nevermind!" Stella answered and took a deep breath.

They stayed in the living room while Stella was thinking what she should say if her sister comes in. "Do you want me to leave?" o you want me to leave?" Brandon asked her after noticing that she was not comfortable with him staying there. "Not really, you can stay!" Stella told her but she was panicking deep inside. She didn't want to hear what her sister would say to Brandon. "Nah, I'm going to leave!" Brandon said and stood up from the couch.

Stella was just watching him leave and took a deep breath when he closed the door. "You are insane, Stella!" Flora told her, and Stella just smiled at her. "It is not the right time for him to see my sister." Stella answered and sat beside Flora.

They stayed in the living room until dark came, Flora decided to go home so Stella accompanied her towards the main door. "I can't visit you for the following days!" Flora said, and Stella looked at her right away. "Why?" Stella asked and that's when Daisha came. "Are you going home now, Flora?" Daisha asked her, but Stella stopped her sister from asking more questions.

"Answer my question first!" Stella told her, and Flora nodded her head. "We will have a family vacation and it is out of town. You want to come with me?" Flora asked her, and Stella looked at Daisha. "I can't decide about that matter!" Daisha told her, and Stella shook her head in disbelief.

"I will ask Dad about that thing. I will visit you tomorrow!" Stella answered, and Flora patted her shoulder. "I will wait for you!" Flora told her and smiled at her.

Flora started walking away while Stella stayed in the main door. "You know that our father will not agree with that." Daisha told her, which made Stella look at her. "I will still ask him." Stella answered confidently.

Stella waited for her father to come but it was almost midnight but there was still no sign of her father. Daisha went out of her room to check Stella and saw her sister sitting on the couch. "You need to sleep, Stella! He will not come home tonight!" Daisha told her, but Stella insisted on staying in the living room.

"Don't mind and just sleep, Daisha!" Stella told her, and Daisha nodded her head. "I will!" Daisha answered and went back to her room.

Stella stayed awake until morning came, she shook her head in disbelief when her father didn't come home. "What the heck!" Stella whispered to herself and that's when Daisha went out of her room. "I told you that you should sleep!" Daisha answered and walked away.

Stella gave up on waiting for her father and went to her room. She lay in her bed and didn't realise that she fell asleep.

Stella woke up and it was almost noon. She stood up from her bed and went to the bathroom. She took a bath and left her room after drying her hair. She left their home and went to Flora's house.

"Are you looking for Flora?" Beta Helias appeared, and Stella nodded her head. "Where can I see her, Beta Helias?" Stella asked, and Beta Helias pointed out their house. "Go to her room!" Beta Helias answered, and Stella nodded her head.

She went inside their house and looked for Flora's room. She immediately found it because of the door where she saw a touch of pink there. She knocked on the door and Flora came out. "Hey! You didn't tell me that you are going here!" Flora told her and opened the door so she could enter her room. "I think that I can't come with you!" Stella answered and saw the luggage near Flora's bed.

"It is fine, Stella! As long as your father does not get mad at you!" Flora told her and patted her shoulder. "But I want to come with you!" Stella answered and sat in Flora's bed. "You shouldn't leave your mate!" Flora said, and Stella couldn't stop herself.

"Don't ever mention his name!" Stella warned her, which made Flora laugh at her. "Why? I'm just saying what you should do!" Flora told her while laughing. "It is not funny, my dear friend!" Stella said and smirked at her.

"For you but for me, it is!" Flora said and someone knocked on the door.

Flora stood up and opened the door, they saw Beta Helias there. "Brandon and Tyros are here!" Beta Helias said and looked at Stella who was sitting on the bed. "Let's go?" Flora asked Stella, and Stella stood up from the bed.

They went outside and saw them waiting there, "What are you doing here?" Flora asked them, and Tyros pointed at Stella who was standing beside her. "What now?" Stella asked them, "My father wants me to check on you while your father is on a mission." Brandon answered, and Stella smirked at him. "I can be alone, Brandon!" Stella answered him, "Yeah, I know that but my father still wants me to meet you!" Brandon answered.

Stella nodded her head because she didn't want to fight with him. "Fine, just leave after checking on me!" Stella said, and Brandon looked at her seriously.
