Jade could feel the lingering heat on the jacket suit. She turned to look at the person who draped the jacket suit on her shoulder.

Disappointment stung Jade's heart as she somehow thought that her husband came back for her. She bowed her head, as her eyes were expressing the disappointment and she was powerless to push it back.

She didn't let her savior know what she was feeling right now. That would be ungrateful of her.

"Drink this, so you could feel warm," Xerxes gave her the glass with brandy to Jade while she had her head lowered.

Though she was shivering, Jade's heart felt warm at his gesture. Her prejudice against Xerxes was instantly changed. She misjudged this man.

Jade looked up to the man and said with a warm smile. "Thank you, but I don't drink."

Xerxes sighed. His jacket suit did only little to make her warm. She was soaking wet and it's mid - autumn. "But you will catch a cold. Drink a little just to warm your body."
