Sally's POV

That doesn't make any sense. My eyebrows raised in suspicion as my eyes glanced down at the red cup in their hands. Now, that makes sense, they're drunk.

The girls followed where I was looking, holding their cups. They laugh. "Oh, no. We're not drunk. I promise." Nila said, raising one hand next to her head. And they both started laughing again. They are drunk.

"Okay, maybe, a little." She grinned like a Cheshire cat. "Come with us. We're having our little secret party in the woods. Plus, your grandparents are still talking to the town's Mayor, and it won't end until the next sunrise."

I glanced at the crowd. I discovered my grandparents were still talking. I guess she's right, it's better to go than rot in boredom.

“We will take good care of you, and I promise to take you home.” She smiled. I doubt my safety in her hands or anyone's for a real matter, except my grandparents, of course. But, what could go wrong? I'm drunk, I like the sound of it. I need to relax for once i
