Thirteen

Sally's POV

The neighborhood also looks as friendly as the people here. Not that I'm saying my town is scary and full of cold people, no. Only when you were born and raised there, everything you see becomes dull.

My grandparents here are an important person. The houses here are also quite large, with two floors. I am not saying that I am a rich child, but both sides of my grandparents are well-off. I can see people coming in and out of their homes.

I put the cloth bag back on my shoulder and walked in to see the couple smiling at their guests. But, shortly after, the smile widened when they found out I was standing at the entrance.

"Hey!" I smiled brightly before they pulled me into a hug. Both seemed surprised at the visit they even mentioned it.

"I'm surprised they let you come here without anyone following you." My grandmother mocked.

I shrugged and giggled. "They are going to Paris and they need more servants. Plus, I can take care of myself."
