Chris had to adjust his eyes because of the blinding light. He blinked fast for a few seconds before his eyes could fully adjust. He roamed his eyes at the place, all he could see are trees and other plants. The place is beautiful that it took him a moment to realize that he didn’t know where he was.
He started walking around, he realized that he’s barefooted but he didn’t mind. The grass beneath is soft and a bit ticklish to his feet. He heard the sound of birds chirping. It made Chris smile, he rarely hears bird chirping because he lives in the city ever since he was young.
He tried finding the source of the sound and saw the two birds happily chirping by the branch. Chris watched the birds without disturbing them but to his surprise, the birds flew towards him. The birds circled him before they flew away from him.
He continued walking around the place. Somehow he felt lonely that he is alone. His mother would probably appreciate the place more than he does
Chris couldn’t sleep because of what happened yesterday. His emotions got ahead of him and he end up in a tight situation. He got up and pulled his hair out of frustration.“Chris, you’re a big idiot!” he exclaimed to himself, the person watching him by the cameras they installed must be laughing by now. There’s so many things happening and he didn’t know what think first. He plopped back on the bed and sighed. Chris feels like both his head and chest are going to explode. He’s so angry, but he didn’t know who is directed to anymore. He hates the people who killed his parents, the Fantasia people and even himself. He found himself tearing up. Chris sighed and wiped away his tears but it kept falling. His alarm already rang. He reached the alarm from the bedside drawer to switch it off then lazily got up. Now he has a massive headache. Chris groaned, “this is Damien’s fault.” He whispered. T
“My mom cooked and she cooked extra for you. Let’s go eat this outside.” Kurt lifted the paper bag he’s holding.“Please say thank you for me.” Chris smiled. Kurt’s mother is a great cook and she would always include Chris whenever she got the time to cook for Kurt and his little brother.“Sure.” They went outside of the highschool building and decided to eat in one of the outdoor tables.“Oh!” Kurt suddenly exclaimed.“What is it?” Chris asked in worry.Kurt smiled and scratched his nape, “I forgot to pack my water jug. I’ll just go buy in the cafeteria, you go eat first.” Kurt dashed his way towards the cafeteria. Chris started eating when Damien materialized behind him. The demon touched him in the nape which startled Chris. Damien laughed as Chris coughed because he choked on his food.“I leave for a second and you almost died?” Th
Chris wore the apron provided by their classmates. “Are we really sure about this?” He asked Kurt who’s having a hard time tying his own apron.“We’re serving coffee, not saving the world. Calm down, Chris.” Kurt answered but still struggling to tie the apron, “Why is this so hard?” Chris sighed and went at Kurt’s back to help him.“You can’t even tie this,” Chris said as he ties the apron within seconds.“Hehe, thanks.” Kurt is smiling happily. He didn’t expect Chris to help him.“Okay lovely couple, we’re going to open the booth in 5 minutes.” Both are flustered after hearing their classmate’s statement.“W-we’re not!” Chris quickly denied while Kurt is still flustered. He didn’t know that it was too obvious.“Okay in denial couple, go out already.” Chris looked at Kurt with a face asking for
It is already the third day of their school festival and Kurt is still enthusiastic as ever even though he almost spilled cake to one of the customers just a minute ago.“I knew this would happen.” Chris shook his head.Kurt laughed and doesn’t look a bit discouraged, “I managed to catch back the cake. People even clapped because of my exhibition!” Their classmates laughed this time.“He saved the day.” One joked and laughter filled their mini café.“Louise and Maddie are already here so you can take finish your shift early. Enjoy the rest of the event.”Kurt stretched his arms as they go out of the changing room, “Woah it’s quite tiring today.”“You mean you aren’t tired on the first day?” Chris answered. He’s tired on both days, the labor isn’t tiring but Chris interacting with a lot of people is draining his energy.“W
Chris felt his knees giving out. Blood pools on the ground and Paul’s dead body is at the middle. Teachers already came to the scene and asked the people to disseminate.“Chris, let’s go.” Kurt mumbled and gently pulled Chris away from the scene.“Stay here okay? I’m just going to buy some water.” Kurt said as he saw how Chris’ face turned pale when he saw the scene. It was shocking for him too. Paul rarely interacts with them but he doesn’t look like he has a problem.
The school festival couldn’t proceed as follows because of what happened. All students are advised that regular classes will be held. Chris’ class is quiet when he entered contrary to the usual noisy morning that welcomes him. Most are quietly sitting in their seats when most of the people inside love roaming around the room.Chris looked at Paul’s table and flowers are on his desk. They are almost graduating, few months and Paul could get out of this place, away from people disrespecting him. Chris sighed and went to his seat.He instinctively look to his side and realized that Kurt is still not around. He checked the time just in case he just went early but Kurt is usually here by this time. Does Kurt have morning practice?“Have you seen Kurt?” He asked his other seatmate.“Nope, he hasn’t come here yet.” He answered.Chris feels odd, Kurt doesn’t skip classes unless there is something import
Chris woke up early to clean the house. He first targeted the living room which is already garnering dust from being unused. He looked around and realized that he’s always been in his room these days. Whenever he would go out he would always head straight out of the house and whenever he comes back he would go straight to his room. It became his routine lately. He would always see his father watching the sports channel in the living room whenever he has the time. Chris is not into sports but he enjoys watching with his father, his mother would always bring them something to eat and would go to their office to have a peace and quiet read. There aren’t a lot of memories of them being together but he could remember each memory whenever he looks around. Maybe that’s why he chose to stay at his room all the time. He sighed and wiped his sweat. He just finished vacuuming the place. He remembered that cameras are also attached in other places besides his room. He to
Linus yawned beside Joaqin, the demon found all of Joaqin’s recent cases as boring and too simple. “Isn’t there a more exciting case to work on? I’m bored to death here.” He complained while Joaqin is still busy making reports. The human ignored Linus’ complains and focused on doing his job. “Hey, should we go see that kid?” Linus said. The demon is talking about Chris. Joaqin still casually ignored the demon since there are a lot of people around but it made him ponder on why Linus suddenly wanted to see Chris when he’s the one who’s stopping him from pursuing the case. “You’re too noisy.” Joaqin spoke in a low tone. The demon rolled his eyes and disappeared without notice. Joaqin grinned, he successfully made the demon go. Now he could work in peace. -- Chris messaged Kurt after realizing that they haven’t talked since Friday. He’s used to Kurt being around him everyday that he already finds it weird when he’s not around or when he’s not mes
