“Tests?” We began to move forward again.
“I don’t know the details but as far as I know the original purpose was to check how far a human mind can go before conceding.”
There was a loud sound of some animal shrieking and we both froze in our paths. The sound was ghastly but it only lasted for about four seconds and then it stopped followed by the diminishing echo which was soon gone too.
