Chapter 3 Cruelly expelled

Lea took a step back, feeling the strength from her father, hitting him in the chest like a hammer. For a moment Lea felt dizzy, then she slowly realized that she had completely fallen into the trap that Fely and Garry had set up.

They planned everything very cleverly and carefully.  Lea felt the presence of Nada, her wolf form, rebelling within her. She wondered mentally why Nada had not grown as weak as she should have been. If it was true that the milk she drank contained poison, she should have been lying down unconscious and weak by now.

Dalton orders one of his men to summon doctor Ian, a trusted Windclaw pack doctor. A few moments later, doctor Ian, who is the trusted doctor of the Windclaw pack, entered Lea's room.

"Alpha Dalton, you called me?" asked doctor Ian. "What happend?"

Dalton pointed to a glass of milk that was one third of the glass left on the table. "Please check the milk in the glass and tell me whether it contains anything dangerous or not."

Doctor Ian didn't ask anything. He does its job quickly. He knew something was going on and he needed to do his job carefully.

Lea had high hopes that the doctor could prove the truth of what she said about Fely. She knew that her prediction of the worst possible scenario could happen and that made Nada keep growling to be released from inside her.

After tension reigned in the room while doctor Ian examined the milk in the glass, doctor Ian straightened up.

"This milk is just plain milk. There's nothing harmful in it."

Dalton frowned. "Are you sure, doctor Ian?"

"Of course. Milk that contains poison or noxious substances won't smell like this. The color will also change slightly and especially the taste will leave a bitter aftertaste on the tip of the tongue after drinking."

Suddenly, Fely start to sobbed sadly. "I drank the milk because Lea was cruelly forced, but I don't feel anything strange happening to me," Fely said. Her tears flowed down her cheeks. "I told Eris to make milk for Lea because I wanted to wake her up after a night of drunkenness. I just wanted to help her get ready for her wedding, but Lea treated me cruelly and slandered me."

Everyone stared at Lea intently. Lea realized that Fely and Garry were successful in trapping her. Right now in everyone's eyes, Lea was a bad person and a liar.

Lea approached Dalton and took his hand. "Dad, I'm not lying. Fely and Garry set me up on purpose. She--"

"SHUT UP!"

SLAP!

Lea held her cheeks that felt like they were burning. She was sure that, if she looked in the mirror now, there would be the imprint of her father's hand imprinted on her cheek.

Everyone in the room was shocked by the loud slap and the fact that Dalton Braiven had laid hands on his own biological daughter, the female alpha who will be his heir. No one dared to move to intervene.

Tears streamed down Lea's red cheeks and she tried her best to keep her sobs from erupting.

"D-dad, why did you slap me?"  whispered Lea in a hoarse voice.

Dalton didn't answer, just stared at Lea with a cold gaze. Lea felt her chest so tight. She turned to Garry and saw the corners of Garry's lips lift into a sly smile. The same smile also graced Fely's and Nyla's faces.

"Lea, let me take over! I'll make them pay for this crap!"

"How dare they disrespect me!"

Lea's wolf was pissed off, the poison in her body seems to be working. Lea knew that she couldn't fight against her father. She wanted to stop Nada, but Nada had already escaped her control.

Nada stretched out her claws, making Lea's clothes turn into pieces. She shifted to a white wolf. Its thick, pure white hairs stand up, but her eyes seemed to be on fire, flashing red light.

Watching Fely and Garry's betrayal, Nada rushed towards them.

As soon as Nada's claws were about to tear a piece of flesh from their bodies, her father's wolf, Leo, ran into her.

Nada fell to the ground and whimpered in pain, but she would not give up. She snarled at Leo crazily and then stretched out her fangs and bit Leo's paw.

BOOM!

With a sound, Nada was thrown onto the wall by Leo. Leo rushed over quickly and held her neck with his claws.

Just when Nada thought she was going to die here, Leo stopped.

Nada gasped as she weakened. Slowly Nada returned to her human form.

Lea gulped and with tear in her eyes, she looked at Dalton, who had also returned to his human form.

Looking at her father, her heart hurted even more. She couldn't believe that her father chose someone else instead of his own daughter. If the pain of being betrayed by Garry was like a broken arm, then her father's cruelty was as if the oxygen in her lungs had been drained. She curled up on the ground, feeling so painful that she couldn't breathe.

Why? Lea asked silently, her tears running dry. But her father still didn't intend to let her go. She watched her father's claw-shaped thumb forcefully scratched her neck with a cross!

That's a sign of rejection!

Her father wants to drive her out of the pack!

Dalton stared at Lea for a moment, then stood up and looked at everyone in the room. "You will all be my witnesses. Today, I, Dalton Braiven, alpha of the Windclaw pack, decided to expel Lea Ariane Braiven from our pack. I don't need a rotten heir and this pack doesn't need a lying alpha either. This second also, Lea Ariane Braiven is no longer part of the Windclaw Pack."

Lea shocked. The wound on her neck was not as painful as her heart at the moment. Her own father, the man she always idolized and respected, was blinded by Fely and Garry's crimes.

"Dad, you can't--"

"Pack your things and get out of here," said Dalton in a sharp tone, "you need to go outside and learn respectful etiquette."

"My Dalton family can't tolerate unruly young ladies. Lea, don't blame your dad, you are just too spoiled."

Feelings of pain and sadness hardened into anger inside Lea. She laughed sarcastically while looking at everyone in front of her with a piercing gaze.

"So you all turned into stupid werewolves caught in that little liar trap in the end," Lea hissed sarcastically while pointing at Fely and Garry. "Just remember my words. At some point, when the truth finally comes out, don't expect to beg for my forgiveness. You are all dead to me from now on."

——

Lea drove her car out of town. She felt her whole body hot and weak, as if some invisible hands were trying to squeeze her from the inside.

Lea realized, somehow and when, Fely really had poisoned her with something. Maybe a stimulant.

She saw a hotel on the right side of the road and decided to stop there. She mustered the last of her strength to drag her suitcase and checked herself in at the reception counter.

Her mouth was dry, her eyes were heavy, and her head felt like it was spinning. Lea realized that she was in a state of unbearable heat and she needed the help of an alpha to release the fire within her body or she would burn to death.

"Miss, are you all right?" asked by receptionist, as Lea leaned against the counter breathlessly..

Lea raised her hand, trying to say something, but at that moment her breath caught in her throat, as a distinctly masculine scent hit her nostrils.

Lea turned in the direction the scent was coming from and every joint in her body screamed with longing, as her eyes caught the figure walking towards her. A man in a black vest, light blue long-sleeved shirt, and black leather shoes.

This man has a body shape that strengthens the dominant aura in his blood. Tall, with a broad chest and broad shoulders, he had a perfect athletic body.

His skin was tan and his handsome features conveyed a stern and cold side that was charming. Sharp eyes, shaded by thick eyebrows, a nose and high cheekbones like those of a special edition men's magazine model and a perfect bow of lips.

"Ah, damn, why my body react like this," Lea cursed in whisper. "but who is he? A bellboy?"

Lea was shaking violently, feeling her blood rush under her skin, wanting the feeling where her body melted into that  man firm arms.

Lea had never felt this strange feeling when she was with Garry. She has cut ties with Garry and vowed revenge. This man, whoever he is, might just be able to help her release the fire burning within her.

Lea stepped closer to the man.  She grabbed his sleeve and whispered. "Hey, can you help me?"
