“I don't want to see you right now so leave” Drake barked out again.

When he had seen Elaina dressed in expensive silk and jewelry the day before, he immediately felt irritated, especially because she said the king had given it to her. A strange gushing feeling welled up in his heart and made him restless, he hated the sight of those expensive things on her. The thought of how she had been spending more time with the king than with him in the past week made him angrier and frustrated.

He didn't like to feel this way but no matter how hard he tried to remove these feelings, they still pestered like flies on a sore. The kiss they had still tormented him and now this had added to it and it pissed him off so much.

Another thing that made him irritated was that he knew Elaina wasn't being completely honest. Drake did not buy what she said about the king showering her with expensive gifts as appreciation, as a man himself he could sense that he wanted something from her. Seeing that it
