“What? I'm sorry, I don't understand” was Elaina's first response as her stomach filled with dread. She had felt that she was going to be caught but she still wished the king would overlook it.

She sighed internally, ‘I guess it was just wishful thinking, perverted men like the king do not know how to handle rejections. At least I got to discard the scroll with that information, things would have went from bad to worse if the guard's saw it’ she thought to herself.

“You are under arrest for treason. You assaulted the king last night and such a crime cannot go unpunished” The guard announced. The second guard immediately stepped forward with chain like cuff and locked Elaina's hands behind her back.

She struggled a little, the feeling of being cuffed didn't feel good. “Where are you taking me?” she asked.

“You will be thrown into prison as you await your sentence from the king” a guard replied.

True to that, she was locked up in one of the palace cells and she had no choice than to
