The familiar sound of footsteps and scent made Drake smile even before Elaina got to his cell. He quickly got up to welcome her as if she was visiting for the first time.

“Morning Drake” Elaina greeted with a wide smile the moment she stepped into the cell.

“Morning Elaina” Drake responded as he came forward and pulled her in for a hug. It was just yesterday they met last but it felt like eternity.

Elaina chuckled and hugged him back, she missed him too. That was why she showed up so early in the morning, she had been doing that for the past three days since she began residing at Xavier's manor.

Her visits were now longer and frequent, she would show up at the dungeon very early and leave very late. Drake didn't complain, in fact he loved having her around. He felt at peace with the bothersome estrus gone, it was as though an incomplete part of him was beginning to fill up.

“I brought some food for you” She said as she handed him a small basket.

Elaina was tense with curiosity but she patiently waited for Drake to find the ritual in the book.Finding other dragon bloods; or ‘outcasts’ as they were fondly called, in the human kingdom made her feel excited and scared at the same time. Excited because it made her feel like she wasn't alone and scared because of the dangers that lay ahead in teaming up with them. She decided to search the house once more, there might be something she has been missing and there was no way the culprit vanished into thin air like a ghost. She decided to sneak into Xavier's chamber first as it was well into the night and it might be the only chance she got. With the experience she had, she was able to sneak in seamlessly and when she started looking around, she noticed something was off.‘If I didn't sneak in the other day, I wouldn't have noticed’ she thought as she came closer to the shelf in the study room.
