CHAPTER 74

The next day when Elysian woke up the pack was coming to see her, something compelled her to get out of bed without the two or three-hour upset lounging session she had been growing used to.

For the first time since returning to her home, she put on a pot of coffee and found some cereal that she wouldn’t mind eating dry. Elysian sat at her kitchen counter, wearing Adrian’s hoodie like a dress, sipping coffee that was far too hot and way too bitter for her liking, crunching on cereal.

Elysian was completely zoned out, doing these things without thinking about what she was really doing. One hand was alternating between bringing the half-empty coffee cup to her mouth or
