CHAPTER 73

When Elysian woke up, swaddled in the softness of Taylor’s sweater, with Adrian's hoodie balled up in

her arms, the teddy that Vincent got her resting next to her head, the light was streaming through the curtains. The scents of other boys swirled around her in a way that was so familiar, so calming, that she almost forgot that she wasn’t still with them.

Sighing, she rolled over, opening her eyes properly for the first time. A deep sort of disappointment settled into an ever-growing pit in her stomach as her eyes flitted across her bedroom for the first time in months.

Sadness hits her like a wave, slamming into her with an unknown, unrelenting force that left her gasping for air.

Whimpers fell from her lips as she curled into herself, not wanting to get up. All Elysian wanted to do was to do was seek out the same comfort she had been getting when she was with them.

Elysian buries her face in Adrian’s hoodie, willing herself not to cry anymore. Rationally, she kne
