Chapter 130: The Final Goodbye ANYA’S POV Everything inside me shattered and reformed into pure fury. Damien lay crumpled on the floor, his body twitching as dark shadows coiled around him like living chains. Cassian stood over him with that smug shadow form twisting around his body. Chapter 129: The Debt of Blood DAMIEN’S POV I dropped to my knees and caught Rowan before his body slammed fully onto the stone. His weight crashed against my chest as hot blood poured from the massive wound in his torso. It soaked through my torn shirt and burned against my skin. Rowan gasped desperately, choking on his own blood while his eyes darted around in raw terror. His hands clutched at my arms with weakening grips, fingers slippery and trembling. “Why?” I demanded, my voice cracking. Tears blurred my vision and spilled down my face before I could hold them back. “You came here to rip her away from me. You hated everything I stand for. Why throw yourself in front of that blast meant for me?” Rowan’s face twisted in agony. Blood bubbled at the corner of his mouth and ran down his chin. He tried to speak but only managed wet, gurgling sounds at first. I pressed my palm hard over the gaping hole in his chest, desperate to slow the flow, but it kept coming strong and steady.
