Mag-log inLeah's Pov
I sat in the classroom with my note book in front of me, the silence was unnerving.
Almost everyone was already outside the school premises trick-a-treating.
I could hear voices in the walls of the classroom whispering in my ears.
Mr Alberta was watching me like a hawk, how on earth was I supposed to tell him that I could hear voices without him thinking I'm making excuses to leave the classroom.
The pages of my book flipped on it's own and I held the edge of my seat for support.
On the opposite side of the class the best student, Lisa Dallas sat willingly not in detention simply just buried in a book as always.
She almost never says a word to anyone, my tongue was stuck in my throat and visible burn marks appeared in my chemistry text book.
I held on to the table till my knuckles turned white as the word bathroom appeared on the text book in burn marks.
"Excuse me sir, I have to pee."' I said nervously standing up, he gave me a look then nodded.
As I navigated through the hallway my heart beat rapidly, hesitantly I opened the toilet door to see brea, roxie and Serena.
"Oh for the love of God!" I exclaimed in annoyance.
Brea walked up to me "Calm down."
"No stay the fuck away from me." I exclaimed, stepping back.
"We can explain to Leah, you don't need to keep avoiding us. You are in danger." Brea tried explaining but I turned to leave.
"No, I'm not interested in your horseshit!"
An invisible force pulled me back into the toilet and the door slammed shut.
I took in a shaky breath, my heart ramming in my chest "Can you just listen!" Roxie snapped, hands in her pocket signalling impatience.
"That day at the library we released a nightmare Spirit." Brea explained "And it's attached to you, it's feeding off your energy."
I was so mad, I was literally seeing red "Well that wouldn't have happened if you had just listened to me."
Serena sighed, folding her arms. "That's why we are going to fix it."
"How are we going to do that by casting more spells to fix our problems?" I asked, rolling my eyes.
They shrugged and I nearly popped a nerve. I was still somehow held in place by Roxie. "Are you serious? I was being sarcastic, how are you going to fix a problem that we already created using the same problem?"
"Turns out magic really does run in our family blood, and only those truly born of magic can conjure the spell that we cast that day." Brea explained and I was still processing what she meant.
"Are you trying to say that I am a witch?" I asked in utter disbelief then cracked up immediately, I laughed so hard tears came out of my eyes.
Still laughing I said "That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard you know what...I'm gonna forget all this and go home."
"You are in danger!" Roxie exclaimed.
"You guys are insane, crazy! and I will not be a part of this crazy charade!" I yelled at the top of my voice.
A gosh of wind filled the room, I felt an arm circle around my waist and next thing, I knew I was standing outside in the woods.
As soon as I regained my balance I looked up to see Cain looking very amused "How did you?"
"Do that?" he finished for me, releasing me from his hold and he stepped back.
He smirked as if we weren't in the middle of a dark forest, where he set the table with a meal on it "Tea?" he asked casually like it was a normal day in autumn.
"Is it poisoned?" I questioned realizing if I had to run there's no way I could because I literally couldn't find a path out of the forest.
His dark eyes glinted with amusement and mischief. "You don't trust me?"
"Well currently in Banewood, there have been reports of serial killings. You are new to our school, there's something off about you, it's like you're not human then you kidnap me and take me to the middle of woods in the middle nowhere." I smiled, calculating how to defend myself.
"So no, I do not trust you." I said with full confidence "My friends will be worried, they'll call the cops. My mother is a detective."
Now he laughed sitting down in a chair at the table "Really! I'm so scared."
"What do you want from me?" I asked, finally spotting an escape route in the trees just behind him.
He shrugged observing me "How far do you think you can run from me?"
"I'm not running. I can defend myself." I said the lie slipped easily from my tongue.
"From a werewolf?" he said and chills ran down my spine.
His smirk was wild as he cajoled her "I'd like to see you try...this is good quality meat, have some." he said.
Discomfort spread through me like a disease "What is it?"
He grinned revealing canines so large they would snap my neck with one bite, he was suddenly in front of me.
I didn't panic as he sniffed me, it was hard to be brave for what I was about to do.
His eyes danced with excitement like he was enjoying every moment of my antics. "What are you going to do now little human?"
I gently grabbed the collar of his shirt pulling him down a bit from his insane height and kissed him square on the lip.
The pupil of his red eyes dilated in shock, I smirked. Taking that moment with all my power, used my knee to hit him in the groin.
He growled flinching from my kiss and doubled over, I sprinted as quickly as I could, adrenaline my only support.
Running like my life depended on it, I could hear his agonizing groan as my heels barely touched the ground. "You better run you little human because If I catch you."
My heart was pounding against my ribs, my flesh burning with excitement, I couldn't control the thrill I felt in my veins.
As I ran right into Reuben, I was panting whether I had met a savior or another devil was
hanging in a balance right now.
Reuben looked pissed as hell as he growled "Are you bloody stupid?"
Hi ☺️ I appreciate your support and your comments, it helps me improve thank you. You feedback is very important.
Leah's pov:The shock had me frozen, I couldn't believe it, denial tormented me like a repeat verse in my head. It's not possible, I was on birth control there's no way it was possible right?I sat in the hospital waiting area, it was busy but I was absentminded. Since morning I haven't said a word since the test read positive...what could I say.In school I was the ghost of myself, finals were coming and I was quietly freaking out. No one knew, no one could tell yet.If anyone noticed my life was over that's all I could think about, it was a constipated weight in the pit of my stomach unable to come out of my ass.Torn between being pregnant and struggling to meet up academically, I still didn't want to believe it. I was so careful. How did I go wrong? After school that's when I came to the hospital to run another pregnancy test. That's how I got here, the white walls were judging me. The silence of the car judged me. The murmur of students at school judge me.A young adult single
Reuben's Pov: I crouched beside the car as she fired bullets on the other side. What could have pissed her off so much so early in the morning apart from the fact that I didn't bring her daughter back home last night of course. I groaned from the pain of the silver bullet in my arm.Her first shot had been deadly, she would have killed me if I hadn't heard her pull the trigger immediately and ducked. The bullet was a different kind, it was tearing through my flesh like a drill, burning the walls of the insides of my biceps. "Stop it mom!" I heard Leah yell again as I put my fingers inside the bleeding hole, caught the bullet and pulled it out.Even as I held it it was still spinning, tearing my fingers. If this was the latest advanced technology of witches, the Werewolves are in for a lot of hell he thought. My healing was slowed down and my breathing harsh. It was likely that the bullet also had toxins in it. These witches are a menace, I groaned as I heard Riley yelling at Leah "
Leah's pov: I gasped awake in a cold sweat, shaking someone's warmth pulled me into a hug. "Bad dream?" his voice was sleepy as he kissed me. "How did we....where are we?" I asked, my chest was tight and breathing stressed, nausea and headache were a bad combination. "You slept off in the car." His voice was very soothing, you were so terrified in your dream. My body relaxed a bit, I nodded as he caressed my hair "What did you dream about?" I reached for my pendant "It's a weird thing isn't it? it switches its shape sometimes to humans it's a pendant, to supernaturals it's an amulet. Cool."he murmured and my harsh breathing calmed down. "You have a fever, I think." He said and I nodded. "Perhaps it was a fever dream." he sat up pulling me close until I was leaning on his chest. "Maybe....but in that dream Abigail killed me." I said as the dream replayed in my head. Reuben's brows drew together, his facial expression hard and full of thought "That can't be good, perhaps it's
Leah's pov: "Please forgive me, I misspoke." She said trembling "I really need this job please."I picked up my cutlery ignoring her, I intentionally wanted her to keep kneeling there like she deserved. And to taunt her even more, I gave a very dramatic reaction "Ahhhhhh yes, I'll be your girlfriend Alpha Reuben."The entourage of people with flowers and gifts threw petals at us, rejoicing. It was so dramatic I actually had to hold my laugh, even though I was pissed. Reuben smiled knowing my reaction was very enthusiastic just to spite her. "She has acknowledged her wrong doings Manager Quan, so perhaps a two months suspension will suffice. Since she is still yet to apologize." Her breath hitched, realizing that I hadn't even noticed she didn't even apologize "I'm sorry, I'm very sorry..." She bowed towards Alpha Reuben. He clenched his jaw looking very impatient and irritated. "Apologize to my mate and girlfriend not to me, you know what you are doing and we are not stupid either."
Leah's pov:I couldn't help but blush. He was very gorgeous and he brought flowers. "Is that ?" I pointed at it.He got shy and I couldn't help but grin at how cute he was. "Yes it's for you." he scratched his neck and I beamed."Oh thank you." My smile was too obvious, it was a bit embarrassing. "It's nothing, I hope you like it...ah your buckle isn't done." he said and went one knee, my breath actually got stuck in my lungs as he took the buckle of my high heels and clipped it.The winter evening was feeling several degrees hotter. "Okay so where are we going?" He smirked, taking my hand in his "It's a surprise." As he led me to the car my dad suddenly showed up out of nowhere with the guy I met earlier in school. Still couldn't place where I knew him from."Leah." he said, tightly eyeing Reuben up and down."Dad." I croaked as my palm actually got sweaty."And you are?" he eyed Reuben, his eyes falling on our intertwined hands."Reuben, I'm taking her on a date." He said, squeezi
Leah's pov:It's been awhile since I indulged in sports, not that I was playing now either.Football wasn't just my thing, but today was a pretty interesting day. I was freezing from my bad decisions in outfits, they were in the court. Reuben and Cain were on the same team, while Tucker and the new interesting guy Christiano, were on the opposing team.Brea and Roxie were cheering among the. cheerleaders. It was crazy how they moved on like they hadn't been trying to kill me some days ago. It was super creepy. They were being friendly again at a distance, they waved at me and I waved back with an awkward shiver. Also the fact that the witches hadn't caught up with them Cain must be hard at work. It's surprising he even has time for school activities. The game kicked off and obviously Reuben and Cain were dominating the sports as expected, but Chris was keeping up with them.It got me thinking he was also a werewolf, I scribbled down in my journal as I watched passively, I also felt l
