Chapter Thirty Seven

Ouch, my head. Where am I?” I asked myself while trying to sit on the bed. I have been laid in bed for so long without opening my eyes. I don't even know how many days, weeks, or months I've been here. I couldn't open my eyes nor eat anything but I was just lying like I was dead.

The only thing in hearing was my heartbeat and the beeping machines beside me. “Wait, where is Desmond? I haven't seen him? Is he okay?” These are the questions in my head right now.

I slowly blinked and I felt my body was disoriented and sore. A gentle voice broke through the silence and I turned my head to see a doctor standing on my left hand side.

He checked my vitals and pulse and said warmly, “Hey miss, welcome back,” I managed a weak smile and I wanted to say something but I felt my throat was dry. “Where am I?” I muttered, my voice was barely above a whisper.

He smiled and replied, “You’re in the hospital. You've been here for a few weeks, but I assure you're going to be fine,” My eyes w
