“Come back here, you bitch, Mandy cursed,”. Suddenly she pulled my hair and I fell on my butt. I knew I was a weak omega and there's nothing I can do about it. Omegas are slaves for the pack and most of the time, they're used as sex tools purchased by other Alpha's.

“Where do you think you're going? You came here and started acting like you're someone important. I would make this pack a bearing hell for you. You are just an abandoned omega who had no parents, so mind the way you talk to me, stupid bitch.

She dragged Samantha by her clothes and sent her to the wall, then she held a fistful part of her hair, making her feel a lot of pain.

“What do I do, Mandy?” Let me go. I winced out in pain, trying my best to get out of her grip. Mandy has always crushed on Cain and she wants him to mark her and become Luna.

But she hated how we always cross-part and talk some of the time, but there was nothing between us. Since then, she has been bullying and hurting me wherever she sees me.

“Cain who is the heir to the Alpha is mine. You can't have him and you're just a sex slave if he decides to date you. You're Nobody's mate.” Mandy smirked.

“What do I do to deserve this? I am called an abandoned omega because I'm an orphan.” I lived with my stepmother who treated me badly after the death of her husband who was my father, but she's also dead.

Since then, the Alpha Denver and Luna Gloria, Cain's parents, offered me shelter and took me in as their child. They never let me feel like what people say about me. Both Alpha and Luna took care of me like their daughter and I was really happy about it. But I was being bullied all my life and I'm always sad about it.

“Moon goddess, why do I have to go through all this? You shouldn't have made me an omega,” Samantha Mumbled, tears drops down her face but she wiped it immediately so Mandy won't see it.

“Don't get close to him, don't talk to him, always avoid him whenever you cross his path. Do anything else and I will teach you a lesson you'll never forget in your entire life,” Mandy threatened her.

“Okay, I will do whatever you say”, I whispered in the middle of tears. I will do my best to avoid him and stay away from him.

“Good of you, bitch”, Mandy smirked, faking a little smile. And if you do aside from that, you will have to be dealt with.

She left my room and I fell on my knees breathing heavily. Mandy has always been a pain in my neck, always threatening to kill me or get me kicked out of the pack.

I stood up and sat on the bed for a while, pondering what I could do. Should I tell the Alpha or not? What if she finds out and lies about me to them? They will hate me forever.

I will just do what she says by not getting close to Cain, I can't afford to lose my life or get kicked out because of him.

I get in the bathtub, feeling drained and exhausted about what Mandy has done to me. I just needed a cool shower and a good sleep.

***

The next morning, the sun shone brightly into my room from the window and it fell on my eyes. I try my best to open my eyes because I still feel pain all over my body.

I got up and walked toward my shelf, I found a pain relief medicine and took some. I got back on the bed and felt much better.

After a few minutes, I quickly had a shower. I wore a top and tight-fitted jeans. I joined the omegas in cleaning the pack House, the Alpha, and Luna has always told me I am not a slave, they treat me like their own child. But I always loved doing house chores, cooking, and cleaning the house. My stepmom always made me do the house chores.

I helped by cooking a sumptuous meal with the other omegas and also assisted in arranging the dining. The omegas always loved me being around because I always give them a helping hand.

The Pack member sat at the dining hall because we always eat together including Alpha and Luna. It is always a good thing because most packs I've visited have separate dining for their Alpha’s Family and separate one for the pack member.

The meal was sumptuous because the pack members always praised us. The omegas took care of the dishes and I assisted in cleaning the dining hall.

Suddenly, I bumped into Cain. He was a little bit upset but he stayed calm. “I'm sorry, Cain”, I didn't see you were coming, I muttered, a tear fell from my eyes because I had no idea what he was going to do to me. But, he shocked me.

“It's alright, Sam”, I know you didn't see me coming. I am in a rush to get something upstairs, he said, giving me a broad smile. He looks more handsome and charming whenever he smiles.

“Well, I think she saw you. She just decided to run into you”, I know it was Mandy, so I decided to walk away as fast as I could.

Immediately, she gripped me by my right hand, making the dishes fall to the ground. “Come here, bitch. I'm not done with you yet”, she Mumbled, gritting her teeth.

“Leave her now, we heard a voice, it looks like the Alpha's voice but he wasn't. It was Cain's. He always uses his Alpha voice anytime he's angry.

She suddenly released me from her grip and I felt relief. Cain was about to do something to her but was stopped by Luna.

“You don't have the right to beat or torture someone here, she might be an omega but you don't need to treat her like trash. She made a mistake and apologized”, Cain muttered, what else do you want her to do?

“I'm sorry, such won't repeat itself”, she replied and looked down abruptly. I know she doesn't mean what she said. She will do what she has in mind, she's such an adamant bitch.

I packed the dishes that fell out of my hand and bowed my head to Them before leaving, but Alpha and Luna have been watching us since. They have a little smile on their faces.

“Well done, Cain. You'll make a good Alpha”, Alpha Denver said. As a good Alpha, you should put the interest of your pack member first and do everything to protect them. You did great!

Cain nodded and glanced back at Mandy before leaving the hall.

  • THE ALPHA'S REJECTED MATE   Epilogue

Five years later, the pack house felt alive again. Blankets had been spread across the grass, some near the trees, others around the fire pits. The pack members hang out in groups, warriors sitting near the fire pits, Omegas fussing over tray of food, while elders sat together under the tree. Samantha smiled as she watched the younger ones carry on with their game. They darted in wild circles, singing birdsongs. In the middle of it all was her little boy, Ryan, running across the field with the speed of a child twice his age. She glanced over at Cain and shook her head. “Can you see that? He's going to injure himself.”She sat up straight and said, “Ryan, you'll sprain your ankle if you keep running like that,” she raised her eyebrow as she watched him run even more. “Catch me if you can!” Ryan shouted, his legs pumping furiously as he ran across the grass. She watched as they squealed and gave chase at each other. Cain smiled as he watched then, stumbling and tumbling into the grass

Doctor Maren adjusted his glasses and gestured toward the bed. “Just relax, Luna. Let's check what's wrong,” She eased back and tried to control her breathing. Her hands trembled slightly as she felt Cain’s warm fingers closing around hers. His thumb brushed over her knuckles, trying to calm her.But his eyes never left doctor maren. He clenched his fists as the doctor was about to lay his hands on her stomach. He fought back the urge to fight but he heaved a deep breath, sniffling her faint scent of Jasmine and Lavender.Doctor Maren listened carefully and checked deliberate movements then he finally paused. He lifted his brows slightly and smiled: he looked at Samantha first then Cain, then back to her again. “Luna…” he began softly. She felt his hands tighten on her hand. He demanded immediately, “What is it?” Doctor Maren’s lips curved into a smile and said, “There’s no cause for alarm. In fact… quite the opposite. Congratulations, Alpha. Luna. You’re expecting.”For a brief mome

The next morning, the sun had only just begun to creep across the curtains when she stirred awake. His arms were wrapped around her waist, his breath against her hair. She blinked slowly and pressed a hand against her stomach. She felt different. She shifted and tried to shake off the sensation but it grew more. It was followed by a faint surge of nausea that made her close her eyes again and breathe carefully. She glanced beside her and saw Cain half awake beside her. He turned to her, yawning. “What's wrong? Are you good?” He murmured. She forced a smile, placing a hand on her waist. “I… I feel kinda strange.”His eyes opened at once and he supported himself up on one elbow. “Strange how?” he asked. She hesitated, her cheeks warming under his gaze. “Just… dizzy. I feel… different. And I don't know, I’ve been so tired. My body feels like it's buzzing.”He furrowed his brow immediately and pushed himself upright. He moved closer to her. “Buzzing” his hands covered hers where it rest

Later that night, the pack members began going back to their place. The fire in the pack ground still burned low. Samantha lingered at the edge, her fingers intertwined as she watched Cain move closer to her.Neither of them spoke as they walked the familiar path toward the pack house. She inhaled his scent deeply and smiled. He broke the silence first and said, “You've bewitched them.” She arched her brow, glancing up at him. “Bewitched?” His lips curved into a smile and he nodded. “The way they looked at you tonight… even the elders who once doubted your place. They'd kneel at your feet if you asked for it.”She chuckled and murmured softly, “Good thing I don't ask for it, then. I prefer them at my table, dining together.” He smiled, glaring at her. As they reached the rise overlooking the pack, he stopped. His hand slipped from hers and for a second, he only stared at her. Then he finally spoke, “I used to imagine this, you know. Standing here with my mate. My Luna. But I never b

The sun was sliding low across the horizon when Samantha slipped free of Cain’s hand. The pack had settled after the day’s meal. But she found herself restless after returning back from the kitchen, helping the Omegas. She turned to him and said softly, “I'll be gone a little while,” She arched her brow at him as his gaze searched hers. “To the hospital?” She nodded. “Just to check on them. I… I can't stop thinking about those little ones.” For a moment, he was silent then his jaw loosened and he kissed her temple. “Go. I'll join you later.”***When she stepped into the hospital, she smiled. Instead of hushed cries and restless stirring, the building was peaceful. She watched as the pups were smiling and giggling against their mother’s palm. The first to notice her was a boy no older than six. He stirred awake, rubbed his eyes and smiled. She ruffled his hair softly and whispered softly, “I can see you're feeling better now. Glad to see you.” She turned her gaze back to the room

The next morning, the sun spilled light across the pack house. Samantha woke up, stretching her arms over her head. She glanced beside her and saw Cain is no longer on the bed. She dressed quietly and slipped into the corridors. She could perceive the aroma of baked bread and simmering broth. She opened the kitchen door and entered. She saw the shock on the omega’s eyes and for a second, they dropped their gaze and bowed low. “Luna,” they mumbled. She smiled gently and said, “Good morning to you guys,” One of the Omegas, flour dusting her cheek raised her hands and said nervously, “You— you shouldn't be here, Luna. We will get you whatever you want to have. Luna doesn't come to the kitchens.”Samantha stepped forward, rolling her sleeves. “Well, maybe this Luna does. Is there room for one more pair of hands?” She watched as they glanced at each other curiously. She moved straight to the nearest table where vegetables were piled high, picked up a knife, and began slicing. The women s
