‘It was Cain’. He was at the entrance.

He gave him a deadly stare and I told him to go now before something happens. He entered into his car, and drove off.

I felt at ease, I don't know what I would have done if they decide to fight. Cain will tear him apart, he is an Alpha. I don't want anything to happen to Derick.

Cain on the other hand, does not want to see me with another werewolf, but he rejected me. ‘Why did he does that Everytime?’ He doesn't want me and doesn't want to see me with any wolf either.

I gaze at him, and headed towards the door but I was drawn back. “What do you think you're doing?” He asked, clenching his fists.

I tried releasing my hand from his grip, but all to no avail. I felt pain in my hands but a tear rolled down my cheek and he left me.

“I, Samantha Earhart, accept your Rejection,” I Mumbled, and I let out a deep breath. I need to get over this, I have to hold myself. I don't want the tears in my eyes to drop not in front of him. He thinks I'm weak and lonely, but I will prove it to him that I'm not.

He watched me as I walked away, I opened the entrance door and headed straight into my room. I broke in tears when I entered. I've been hurt.

I lay on my bed and weeping profusely, I never felt I could feel this much pain and survive. My body is trembling, and my sould is tore apart. There's a large hole in my heart, and I don't think I will ever able to fix it.

My mate doesn't want me.

He thinks I'm weak.

I'm not good enough for him. He wants to take a chosen mate, Mandy, for that matter. He rejected me the moment I found out.

He will have a new mate and Luna and I will be here to watch them everyday. God, I pray I don't have a heart attack or kill myself one-day.

I wanted to take a shower, I needed it. I take a shower and laid on my bed. I stared at the ceiling. I just wish I can just disappear from this world. I am not happy! I don't think I will ever happy again.

This is too much for me, the death of my parents, how I lived through hell all these years, I got bullied and make fun of, now, my mate doesn't want me around him. This is too much for me. I just feel I could feel numb.

As I lay on my bed, drowning in sorrow,my phone suddenly buzzed, jolting me out of my thoughts. I glanced at the screen to see a message from my best friend, Jane. She wanted to meet me at our usual spot at the restaurant. it is a place where we often sought solace in each other's company.

A flicker of hope sparkled within me as I read her message. Maybe, just maybe, Jane could offer some comfort in this dark hour. I should have called her before she do but I'm being carried away by my thoughts.

I hastily wiped away tears, determined to seize any opportunity for respite from the overwhelming pain.

I quickly got dressed and tied my hair in a ponytail. I grabbed my jacket, and hurriedly made my way out of the pack House, without anyone seeing me.

The Night's air was cool against my face, and the distant sound of traffic provided a strangely comforting backdrop.

However, as I walked along the dimly lit path leading to the park, am unsettling feeling crept over me. It was as if I was being watched, the hairs on the back of my neck standing on end.

I tried to dismiss it as mere Paranoia, a product of my shattered emotions, but I couldn't shake off the nagging of sense of unease.

Glancing over my shoulder, my heart skipped a beat. There, lurking in shadows, I caught a glimpse of a figure—a silhouette that seemed all too familiar. Panic welled up within me as I quickened my pace, my mind racing with a thousand questions. Who was following me, and why?

Every step I took, the figure mirrored, maintaining a constant distance. Fear gnawed at my insides, and I desperately searched for an escape route, a way to lose my pursuer. But with every turn, every detour, they remained hot on my heels, unrelenting and insidious.

I needed help. I needed Jane to talk to. My phone trembled in my hand as I dialed her number, praying for her to pick up. The seconds stretched into an agonizing eternity, but there was no answer. Fear and frustration mingled as I realized I was on my own, trapped in a nightmarish chase.

A chilling breeze rustled the leaves, whispering its ominous warning. The park loomed ahead, its once familiar beauty now transformed into a foreboding landscape. With nowhere left to run, I steeled myself for the confrontation that awaited me. Who was this relentless pursuer, and what did they want from me?

In that moment, a chilling realization struck me—this wasn't a mere stranger or a coincidence. The person following me knew more than they should, and their intentions remained shrouded in darkness. With each passing second, the stakes grew higher, and I braced myself for the shocking revelation that awaited me at the heart of the park.

As the terrifying werewolf leaped towards me, a sudden burst of energy surged through my body. Adrenaline coursed through my veins, sharpening my senses as I sprinted through the park, desperately seeking for refuge.

With every heartbeat, I pushed myself to the limits, the fear of the unknown driving me forward.

Finally, I emerged from the park, gasping for breath, and quickly hailed a passing taxi.

After some minutes, I highlighted from the taxi and rush towards the restaurant, I already sees Derick and Jane, they reached out to me and calmed me down.

I struggled to speak, my words coming out in gasps as I try to convey the urgency of the situation. “Someone is trailing me, I don't know…but I saw someone following me.”

My heart pounding in my chest, the smell a scent of cinnamon and white chocolate. That scent is familiar but I can't remember.

I realized someone had been watching me, but i didn't know who it was. I delved deeper into the discussion, an unsettling realization dawned on us. Who can it be? And why?

  • THE ALPHA'S REJECTED MATE   Epilogue

Five years later, the pack house felt alive again. Blankets had been spread across the grass, some near the trees, others around the fire pits. The pack members hang out in groups, warriors sitting near the fire pits, Omegas fussing over tray of food, while elders sat together under the tree. Samantha smiled as she watched the younger ones carry on with their game. They darted in wild circles, singing birdsongs. In the middle of it all was her little boy, Ryan, running across the field with the speed of a child twice his age. She glanced over at Cain and shook her head. “Can you see that? He's going to injure himself.”She sat up straight and said, “Ryan, you'll sprain your ankle if you keep running like that,” she raised her eyebrow as she watched him run even more. “Catch me if you can!” Ryan shouted, his legs pumping furiously as he ran across the grass. She watched as they squealed and gave chase at each other. Cain smiled as he watched then, stumbling and tumbling into the grass

Doctor Maren adjusted his glasses and gestured toward the bed. “Just relax, Luna. Let's check what's wrong,” She eased back and tried to control her breathing. Her hands trembled slightly as she felt Cain’s warm fingers closing around hers. His thumb brushed over her knuckles, trying to calm her.But his eyes never left doctor maren. He clenched his fists as the doctor was about to lay his hands on her stomach. He fought back the urge to fight but he heaved a deep breath, sniffling her faint scent of Jasmine and Lavender.Doctor Maren listened carefully and checked deliberate movements then he finally paused. He lifted his brows slightly and smiled: he looked at Samantha first then Cain, then back to her again. “Luna…” he began softly. She felt his hands tighten on her hand. He demanded immediately, “What is it?” Doctor Maren’s lips curved into a smile and said, “There’s no cause for alarm. In fact… quite the opposite. Congratulations, Alpha. Luna. You’re expecting.”For a brief mome

The next morning, the sun had only just begun to creep across the curtains when she stirred awake. His arms were wrapped around her waist, his breath against her hair. She blinked slowly and pressed a hand against her stomach. She felt different. She shifted and tried to shake off the sensation but it grew more. It was followed by a faint surge of nausea that made her close her eyes again and breathe carefully. She glanced beside her and saw Cain half awake beside her. He turned to her, yawning. “What's wrong? Are you good?” He murmured. She forced a smile, placing a hand on her waist. “I… I feel kinda strange.”His eyes opened at once and he supported himself up on one elbow. “Strange how?” he asked. She hesitated, her cheeks warming under his gaze. “Just… dizzy. I feel… different. And I don't know, I’ve been so tired. My body feels like it's buzzing.”He furrowed his brow immediately and pushed himself upright. He moved closer to her. “Buzzing” his hands covered hers where it rest

Later that night, the pack members began going back to their place. The fire in the pack ground still burned low. Samantha lingered at the edge, her fingers intertwined as she watched Cain move closer to her.Neither of them spoke as they walked the familiar path toward the pack house. She inhaled his scent deeply and smiled. He broke the silence first and said, “You've bewitched them.” She arched her brow, glancing up at him. “Bewitched?” His lips curved into a smile and he nodded. “The way they looked at you tonight… even the elders who once doubted your place. They'd kneel at your feet if you asked for it.”She chuckled and murmured softly, “Good thing I don't ask for it, then. I prefer them at my table, dining together.” He smiled, glaring at her. As they reached the rise overlooking the pack, he stopped. His hand slipped from hers and for a second, he only stared at her. Then he finally spoke, “I used to imagine this, you know. Standing here with my mate. My Luna. But I never b

The sun was sliding low across the horizon when Samantha slipped free of Cain’s hand. The pack had settled after the day’s meal. But she found herself restless after returning back from the kitchen, helping the Omegas. She turned to him and said softly, “I'll be gone a little while,” She arched her brow at him as his gaze searched hers. “To the hospital?” She nodded. “Just to check on them. I… I can't stop thinking about those little ones.” For a moment, he was silent then his jaw loosened and he kissed her temple. “Go. I'll join you later.”***When she stepped into the hospital, she smiled. Instead of hushed cries and restless stirring, the building was peaceful. She watched as the pups were smiling and giggling against their mother’s palm. The first to notice her was a boy no older than six. He stirred awake, rubbed his eyes and smiled. She ruffled his hair softly and whispered softly, “I can see you're feeling better now. Glad to see you.” She turned her gaze back to the room

The next morning, the sun spilled light across the pack house. Samantha woke up, stretching her arms over her head. She glanced beside her and saw Cain is no longer on the bed. She dressed quietly and slipped into the corridors. She could perceive the aroma of baked bread and simmering broth. She opened the kitchen door and entered. She saw the shock on the omega’s eyes and for a second, they dropped their gaze and bowed low. “Luna,” they mumbled. She smiled gently and said, “Good morning to you guys,” One of the Omegas, flour dusting her cheek raised her hands and said nervously, “You— you shouldn't be here, Luna. We will get you whatever you want to have. Luna doesn't come to the kitchens.”Samantha stepped forward, rolling her sleeves. “Well, maybe this Luna does. Is there room for one more pair of hands?” She watched as they glanced at each other curiously. She moved straight to the nearest table where vegetables were piled high, picked up a knife, and began slicing. The women s
