I entered the room feeling a lot of anger boiling inside me. I bang the door and jumped on the bed. I need to decide what I will do to her.
“I will kill that little bitch.” She thinks she can get away with everything she does, right? I will make her life a living hell. What does she even take me for? A lame and weak girl just like her?
I warned her a couple of hours ago and she repeated the same thing. Just try your best to avoid Cain and that's all. But she goes against it.
I will get back to her, but not now. I need to talk to Cain and beg him. He needs to make me his chosen mate and Luna so I can get that bitch out of this pack or even this life.
I get out of the room and went to the packed garden, looking for Cain. He always loved staying there whenever he was lonely. There is a lot of sightseeing there, the beautiful trees and flowers are mind-blowing.
“Heyy, Cain”, what are you doing here all alone? I hope you're good. I know he's a little bit upset but we've been childhood friends since we're five years old. He knows how to calm me down when I'm upset and likewise, I do.
He doesn't reply but ignores me like I never existed. Look, Cain, I know you're still angry about what happened there. But I'm sorry, give me a second chance to prove myself right. I gave a pleading glare and he looked at me at last.
“You shouldn't have done that. Even if you were the one she bumped into, she already apologized and those things you do in there aren't necessary”, he muttered, holding my hands in his.
“I'm sorry, such will never happen again”, I replied, with a little smile on my face. He nodded and kissed me on the cheek.
I'm relieved now, he has forgiven me. I can now navigate my way on how to get that bitch out of this pack, I Mumbled in my heart.
We had a lot of fun in the garden, when it was dark, we decided to head back into the pack House. I'm stressed about today because of that bitch. She needs to be dealt with.
Cain's POV
I went out of the pack, angry. How can she treat a person like that? She's such a heartless being.
I headed towards the garden, it was a little bit late but I needed to be alone. I always loved to be there because of the beautiful scenery. It is a great place to have a nice time.
Suddenly, I heard footsteps coming towards where I was, I knew it was Mandy. She came to apologize for what she did there. She always does that, whenever she did something wrong, she would come and apologize.
“I'm so sorry, Cain”, such won't repeat itself, she muttered, I could sense the seriousness in her voice and I decided to forgive her.
“You don't have to do that, you know? She already apologized. And she nodded. I pulled her closer to me and kissed her on her right cheek.
I needed her at that time because I was lonely. I want someone around. She came at the right time.
“I need you, I whispered in her ears. She glanced at me feeling a little bit shy but I pulled her closer to me again and kissed her passionately.
Cain carried her up and headed towards the pack House, most pack members have already slept but the warriors are still very much awake.
We entered through the back door and headed toward her room.
**They were both intimate that night.**

** TWO YEARS LATER**
Samantha will clock eighteen in a couple of days, she can't wait to meet her mate. She has been happy and anxious at the same time. She already bought the short white gown with some designs attached to the front line, she also got the heels she needed that day.
She couldn't contain her excitement as the days leading up to her eighteenth year birthday dwindled. The anticipation of meeting her mate consumed her thoughts for years, and now the long-awaited moment was finally within reach.
As the morning of her birthday dawned, Samantha rose From her bed with a mixture of nervousness and eagerness coursing through her veins. She stood in front of the mirror, admiring the white gown she had carefully chosen for this special occasion.
The gown was adorned with delicate lace and intricate designs that accentuated her youthful charm. She couldn't help but smile as she imagined how her mate’s eyes would light up when he saw her in her attire.
Samantha's Pov
With my heart pounding in my chest, I made my way to the outskirts of the pack's territory. It was customary for newly-turned eighteen-year-olds to venture into the heart of the forest, a place where the bond with their wolf would be awakened and strengthened.
The woods were known to be mystical and enchanting, providing a perfect backdrop for such a significant event.
As I stepped my foot into the dense foliage, a serene hush fell over the surroundings. The air seems to carry an electric charge, heightening my senses. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, letting the earthy scent of the forest fill my lungs.
Suddenly, a low rumble resonated through the forest, and my heart skipped a beat. I opened my eyes to find my wolf, Scarlett, materializing before her.
Scarlett's sleek White fur glistened under the dappling sunlight that filtered through the trees, and her eyes gleamed with ancient wisdom.
Samantha felt a profound connection forming between her and Scarlett, a bond that surpassed words. It was as if they were two halves of the same soul, finally merging into one.
With each passing moment, their bonds grew stronger, and Samantha could hear Scarlett's thoughts echoing in her mind.
Amid their newfound connection, a distant howl pierced the air. Samantha's heart soared with anticipation as she recognized the distinct call of her mate.
It was a sound that resonated deep within her, pulling her towards the source with an irresistible force.
With Scarlett leading the way, Samantha followed the melodic howls that grew louder and more distinct. As they ventured deeper into the forest, the anticipation became almost tangible, causing Samantha's pulse to quicken.
Finally, in a small clearing bathed in golden sunlight, Samantha caught her first glimpse of her mate. He stood tall and proud, radiating strength and an air of familiarity that tugged at her heartstrings.
His dark brown eyes, a mesmerizing shade of amber, met hers with an intensity that sent shivers down her spine.
Time seemed to stand still as Samantha and her mate approached each other. When they stood face to face, the world around them faded away, leaving only the pulsing connection between their souls.
It was at that moment Samantha realized the young handsome man who stood in front of her was the Alpha's heir, Cain.
He was a little bit shocked, he looked at her with disgust all written on his face.
As Samantha's gaze locked with her mate's, she could sense a flicker of uncertainty in his eyes. A wave of confusion washed over her, but she dismissed it, attributing it to the overwhelming emotions of their first encounter.
“Finally, we meet,” Samantha whispered, her voice trembling with a mixture of excitement and nervousness.
Cain hesitated, his gaze shifting uneasily. “Samantha, there's something I need to tell you,” he said, his voice laced with regret.
Her heart sank, the once vibrant glow dimming within her chest. Her mind raced with countless possibilities, but she refused to believe the worst.
She mustered a weak smile and urged him to continue.
Taking a deep breath, he spoke In a voice that quivered with a mixture of anguish and determination. “I… I cannot be your mate. Fate has played a cruel trick on us. There's a reason. I hesitated when I saw you.” I need to reject you, for the sake of the pack.
“I'm sorry, Sam.” I need to do this now.
“I, Cain Holland, reject you, Samantha Earhart, as my mate and Luna,” he said, and took a deep breath.
Samantha's breath was caught in her throat, her body frozen in disbelief. The weight of his words crash upon her like a tidal wave, shattering the dreams and hopes she had nurtured for so long.
Her mind struggled to comprehend the rejection, her heart breaking with each passing moment.
“Please,” she managed to choke out, her voice barely above a whisper, “Tell me why.”
Five years later, the pack house felt alive again. Blankets had been spread across the grass, some near the trees, others around the fire pits. The pack members hang out in groups, warriors sitting near the fire pits, Omegas fussing over tray of food, while elders sat together under the tree. Samantha smiled as she watched the younger ones carry on with their game. They darted in wild circles, singing birdsongs. In the middle of it all was her little boy, Ryan, running across the field with the speed of a child twice his age. She glanced over at Cain and shook her head. “Can you see that? He's going to injure himself.”She sat up straight and said, “Ryan, you'll sprain your ankle if you keep running like that,” she raised her eyebrow as she watched him run even more. “Catch me if you can!” Ryan shouted, his legs pumping furiously as he ran across the grass. She watched as they squealed and gave chase at each other. Cain smiled as he watched then, stumbling and tumbling into the grass
Doctor Maren adjusted his glasses and gestured toward the bed. “Just relax, Luna. Let's check what's wrong,” She eased back and tried to control her breathing. Her hands trembled slightly as she felt Cain’s warm fingers closing around hers. His thumb brushed over her knuckles, trying to calm her.But his eyes never left doctor maren. He clenched his fists as the doctor was about to lay his hands on her stomach. He fought back the urge to fight but he heaved a deep breath, sniffling her faint scent of Jasmine and Lavender.Doctor Maren listened carefully and checked deliberate movements then he finally paused. He lifted his brows slightly and smiled: he looked at Samantha first then Cain, then back to her again. “Luna…” he began softly. She felt his hands tighten on her hand. He demanded immediately, “What is it?” Doctor Maren’s lips curved into a smile and said, “There’s no cause for alarm. In fact… quite the opposite. Congratulations, Alpha. Luna. You’re expecting.”For a brief mome
The next morning, the sun had only just begun to creep across the curtains when she stirred awake. His arms were wrapped around her waist, his breath against her hair. She blinked slowly and pressed a hand against her stomach. She felt different. She shifted and tried to shake off the sensation but it grew more. It was followed by a faint surge of nausea that made her close her eyes again and breathe carefully. She glanced beside her and saw Cain half awake beside her. He turned to her, yawning. “What's wrong? Are you good?” He murmured. She forced a smile, placing a hand on her waist. “I… I feel kinda strange.”His eyes opened at once and he supported himself up on one elbow. “Strange how?” he asked. She hesitated, her cheeks warming under his gaze. “Just… dizzy. I feel… different. And I don't know, I’ve been so tired. My body feels like it's buzzing.”He furrowed his brow immediately and pushed himself upright. He moved closer to her. “Buzzing” his hands covered hers where it rest
Later that night, the pack members began going back to their place. The fire in the pack ground still burned low. Samantha lingered at the edge, her fingers intertwined as she watched Cain move closer to her.Neither of them spoke as they walked the familiar path toward the pack house. She inhaled his scent deeply and smiled. He broke the silence first and said, “You've bewitched them.” She arched her brow, glancing up at him. “Bewitched?” His lips curved into a smile and he nodded. “The way they looked at you tonight… even the elders who once doubted your place. They'd kneel at your feet if you asked for it.”She chuckled and murmured softly, “Good thing I don't ask for it, then. I prefer them at my table, dining together.” He smiled, glaring at her. As they reached the rise overlooking the pack, he stopped. His hand slipped from hers and for a second, he only stared at her. Then he finally spoke, “I used to imagine this, you know. Standing here with my mate. My Luna. But I never b
The sun was sliding low across the horizon when Samantha slipped free of Cain’s hand. The pack had settled after the day’s meal. But she found herself restless after returning back from the kitchen, helping the Omegas. She turned to him and said softly, “I'll be gone a little while,” She arched her brow at him as his gaze searched hers. “To the hospital?” She nodded. “Just to check on them. I… I can't stop thinking about those little ones.” For a moment, he was silent then his jaw loosened and he kissed her temple. “Go. I'll join you later.”***When she stepped into the hospital, she smiled. Instead of hushed cries and restless stirring, the building was peaceful. She watched as the pups were smiling and giggling against their mother’s palm. The first to notice her was a boy no older than six. He stirred awake, rubbed his eyes and smiled. She ruffled his hair softly and whispered softly, “I can see you're feeling better now. Glad to see you.” She turned her gaze back to the room
The next morning, the sun spilled light across the pack house. Samantha woke up, stretching her arms over her head. She glanced beside her and saw Cain is no longer on the bed. She dressed quietly and slipped into the corridors. She could perceive the aroma of baked bread and simmering broth. She opened the kitchen door and entered. She saw the shock on the omega’s eyes and for a second, they dropped their gaze and bowed low. “Luna,” they mumbled. She smiled gently and said, “Good morning to you guys,” One of the Omegas, flour dusting her cheek raised her hands and said nervously, “You— you shouldn't be here, Luna. We will get you whatever you want to have. Luna doesn't come to the kitchens.”Samantha stepped forward, rolling her sleeves. “Well, maybe this Luna does. Is there room for one more pair of hands?” She watched as they glanced at each other curiously. She moved straight to the nearest table where vegetables were piled high, picked up a knife, and began slicing. The women s
