As the terrifying werewolf leaped towards Samantha, a sudden burst of energy surged through her body. Adrenaline coursed through her veins, sharpening her senses as she sprinted through the park, desperately seeking refuge.
With every heartbeat, she pushed herself to the limits, the fear of the unknown driving her forward.
Finally, she emerged from the park, gasping for breath, and quickly hailed a passing taxi.
After some minutes, she got out of the taxi and rushed towards the restaurant. She already saw Derick and Jane. They reached out to her and calmed her down.
She struggled to speak, her words coming out in gasps as she tried to convey the urgency of the situation. “Someone is trailing me, I don't know…but I saw someone following me.” Samantha Mumbled nervously.
Her heart pounding in her chest, the smell of cinnamon and white chocolate. That scent is familiar but she can't remember who it is.
She later realized someone had been watching her, but she didn't know who it was. She delved deeper into the discussion, an unsettling realization dawned on them. Who can it be? And why?
Jane calmed her down and said, “You have nothing to worry about, Sam.” It could be mere hallucination.
But…, she was cut shut by derick, “There's no one, Sam,” calm down. You're here now, no one can harm you. We know about the rejection, Sam. It could have been affecting you, you know?’ he told her.
She nodded curiously, while The waiter served them Hamburger and chocolate milkshake.
Samantha pov
On my way home, I listened attentively to know if someone was following me. Luckily for me, there's no one.
I know it could have been no one but Mandy. She have been wanting to get rid of me. But why quickly? What do I do to deserve all this from her? I have left Cain for her, they'll be marking each other in a couple of days. Is that not enough for her?
I think the best thing to do is to run away to where no one can find me, even Cain. I can't live through the pain of seeing them together everyday. I would have to live through all this pain of losing my mate to someone else. But what about the bond?
There's no other option left for me than to leave this pack. I need to get back to the pack house as fast as I can. The Alpha's crowning would take place in a couple of days and I don't want them to notice me leaving.
Twenty five minutes later, I reached the pack house,I saw a maid coming out from Luna's room which is adjacent to mine. I quietly entered my room, picked necessary things and headed through the dense forest. If I had headed towards the normal route, I'd get caught, which I don't want.
My heart raced as I navigate through the dense forest, my wolf form moving swiftly and silently through the underbrush. As I walked through the forest, my feet cold and shaky, I continue walking so I can get close to the border and sought refuge in a neighborhood pack.
My paws pounded against the forest floor as I sprinted through the dense foliage, my breath coming in ragged gasps. The scent of danger lingered in the air, and mg heightened senses that she was being pursued by rogues.
‘Ohh, not this time. Rogues… What do I do?’ Sam Mumbled within herself. She was scared, there's no one to help her.
Her heart raced as she veered left and right, attempting to shake off her pursuers. The forest seemed to close in around her, its darkened shadows becoming a labyrinth of uncertainty. But no matter how fast she ran or how skillfully she evaded, the rogues persisted, their relentless pursuit only intensifying.
As Samantha darted through a clearing, she suddenly stumbled upon an old, dilapidated cabin. With a surge of desperate hope, she lunged towards it, seeking refuge from her relentless hunters. The door creaked open under her weight, and she rushed inside, the adrenaline still coursing through her veins.
The cabin's interior was dimly lit, its walls adorned with faded photographs and tattered remnants of a forgotten past. Samantha's breath caught as her eyes landed on an old family portrait. It depicted a young girl with auburn hair, her eyes filled with warmth and love. It brings back the memory of her parents before they were brutally killed by the rogues.
‘Mom, Dad, I missed you so much.’ Sam muttered quietly so the rogues won't hear her. Before Samantha could dwell on her memories, the sound of rustling leaves and heavy footsteps echoed from outside of the cabin. The rogues had caught up to her. Panic surged within her, but she knew she had to find a way to escape.
With no other choice, Samantha crept towards the back of the cabin, hoping to find an exit. As she pushed open a rickety door, a sharp pain seared through her body. She gasped, her vision blurring, and stumbled out into the moonlit forest. It was then she noticed the silvery chains wrapped around her limbs, their links infused with deadly wolfsbane and silver.
‘Please let me go, I need to goooo’ she growled at one of the rogues. The rogues had captured her, their intention clear—to suppress her powers and leave her defenseless. Samantha fought against the pain, her determination unyielding. She knew she couldn't let herself be a captive to their cruelty. Suddenly, her vision blurred and she passed out.

Cain pov
The elder council are already at the park house, their expression solemn and resolute. Cain stood among them, a powerful and enigmatic werewolf who would take the leadership from his father and take charge of the blue moon pack.
My father, Alpha Denver is old and would hand over the power as an Alpha of the blue moon pack. But I haven't seen Mandy and Samantha today. Why are they not here at the pack's dinning?
‘Ohh, Sam might be in her room. She have always been a sad and pathetic girl,’ I smirked. But there's something that keeps drawing me closet to her anytime I come across her.
‘Is it the bond between us? Or because she's beautiful? I muttered silently hoping no one would hear me. I feel like hugging and kissing her whenever I set my eyes on her.
But I just can't, I can't mate her. She is weak and pathetic. I need a strong Luna. Suddenly, I was tapped out of my thoughts by my friend, Jacob, the soon-to-be Beta. We've been best friends since we were young. He is tall, handsome and charming. He has a broad shoulders but not as much as mine.
“Hey, Cain. I've been here since but you didn't notice, is everything okay?,” Jacob asked.
I rolled my eyes and leaned back, ‘I am not fine actually’. I need to clear my head, and have you seen Mandy?
‘She went out this morning but hasn't returned back, is there any problem?’ Jacob asked.
I nodded and replied, ‘Okay, jacob.’ I'm heading out now, mind link me when you see any of them.
Five years later, the pack house felt alive again. Blankets had been spread across the grass, some near the trees, others around the fire pits. The pack members hang out in groups, warriors sitting near the fire pits, Omegas fussing over tray of food, while elders sat together under the tree. Samantha smiled as she watched the younger ones carry on with their game. They darted in wild circles, singing birdsongs. In the middle of it all was her little boy, Ryan, running across the field with the speed of a child twice his age. She glanced over at Cain and shook her head. “Can you see that? He's going to injure himself.”She sat up straight and said, “Ryan, you'll sprain your ankle if you keep running like that,” she raised her eyebrow as she watched him run even more. “Catch me if you can!” Ryan shouted, his legs pumping furiously as he ran across the grass. She watched as they squealed and gave chase at each other. Cain smiled as he watched then, stumbling and tumbling into the grass
Doctor Maren adjusted his glasses and gestured toward the bed. “Just relax, Luna. Let's check what's wrong,” She eased back and tried to control her breathing. Her hands trembled slightly as she felt Cain’s warm fingers closing around hers. His thumb brushed over her knuckles, trying to calm her.But his eyes never left doctor maren. He clenched his fists as the doctor was about to lay his hands on her stomach. He fought back the urge to fight but he heaved a deep breath, sniffling her faint scent of Jasmine and Lavender.Doctor Maren listened carefully and checked deliberate movements then he finally paused. He lifted his brows slightly and smiled: he looked at Samantha first then Cain, then back to her again. “Luna…” he began softly. She felt his hands tighten on her hand. He demanded immediately, “What is it?” Doctor Maren’s lips curved into a smile and said, “There’s no cause for alarm. In fact… quite the opposite. Congratulations, Alpha. Luna. You’re expecting.”For a brief mome
The next morning, the sun had only just begun to creep across the curtains when she stirred awake. His arms were wrapped around her waist, his breath against her hair. She blinked slowly and pressed a hand against her stomach. She felt different. She shifted and tried to shake off the sensation but it grew more. It was followed by a faint surge of nausea that made her close her eyes again and breathe carefully. She glanced beside her and saw Cain half awake beside her. He turned to her, yawning. “What's wrong? Are you good?” He murmured. She forced a smile, placing a hand on her waist. “I… I feel kinda strange.”His eyes opened at once and he supported himself up on one elbow. “Strange how?” he asked. She hesitated, her cheeks warming under his gaze. “Just… dizzy. I feel… different. And I don't know, I’ve been so tired. My body feels like it's buzzing.”He furrowed his brow immediately and pushed himself upright. He moved closer to her. “Buzzing” his hands covered hers where it rest
Later that night, the pack members began going back to their place. The fire in the pack ground still burned low. Samantha lingered at the edge, her fingers intertwined as she watched Cain move closer to her.Neither of them spoke as they walked the familiar path toward the pack house. She inhaled his scent deeply and smiled. He broke the silence first and said, “You've bewitched them.” She arched her brow, glancing up at him. “Bewitched?” His lips curved into a smile and he nodded. “The way they looked at you tonight… even the elders who once doubted your place. They'd kneel at your feet if you asked for it.”She chuckled and murmured softly, “Good thing I don't ask for it, then. I prefer them at my table, dining together.” He smiled, glaring at her. As they reached the rise overlooking the pack, he stopped. His hand slipped from hers and for a second, he only stared at her. Then he finally spoke, “I used to imagine this, you know. Standing here with my mate. My Luna. But I never b
The sun was sliding low across the horizon when Samantha slipped free of Cain’s hand. The pack had settled after the day’s meal. But she found herself restless after returning back from the kitchen, helping the Omegas. She turned to him and said softly, “I'll be gone a little while,” She arched her brow at him as his gaze searched hers. “To the hospital?” She nodded. “Just to check on them. I… I can't stop thinking about those little ones.” For a moment, he was silent then his jaw loosened and he kissed her temple. “Go. I'll join you later.”***When she stepped into the hospital, she smiled. Instead of hushed cries and restless stirring, the building was peaceful. She watched as the pups were smiling and giggling against their mother’s palm. The first to notice her was a boy no older than six. He stirred awake, rubbed his eyes and smiled. She ruffled his hair softly and whispered softly, “I can see you're feeling better now. Glad to see you.” She turned her gaze back to the room
The next morning, the sun spilled light across the pack house. Samantha woke up, stretching her arms over her head. She glanced beside her and saw Cain is no longer on the bed. She dressed quietly and slipped into the corridors. She could perceive the aroma of baked bread and simmering broth. She opened the kitchen door and entered. She saw the shock on the omega’s eyes and for a second, they dropped their gaze and bowed low. “Luna,” they mumbled. She smiled gently and said, “Good morning to you guys,” One of the Omegas, flour dusting her cheek raised her hands and said nervously, “You— you shouldn't be here, Luna. We will get you whatever you want to have. Luna doesn't come to the kitchens.”Samantha stepped forward, rolling her sleeves. “Well, maybe this Luna does. Is there room for one more pair of hands?” She watched as they glanced at each other curiously. She moved straight to the nearest table where vegetables were piled high, picked up a knife, and began slicing. The women s
