The ticking of the wall clock was the only sound in the gravely silent waiting room of the clinic. I cleared all my schedule for the day to visit the doctor and confirm my pregnancy, it was true yet my mind couldn't wrap around it. Besides, the morning sickness was worse than my first pregnancy. I couldn't even take water.

I heard the twisting of the door knob.

"Mrs. Rodriguez, it's your turn. Doctor Lily will see you in five minutes." A nurse informed me.

"Sure, I'll be there in a minute. I have to make a call to my husband." I politely told her and dialled Dominic's number who had been out to take an important call. We couldn't talk in that morning as he had to rush to the office for an emergency. We had an issue with the software system of our company which took us almost a week to solve so everything falls back normal. We had to reschedule our doctor's appointment but today is the day.
