Chapter 3- Entering into the dark realm

"I know something that could cheer you up," Albus continued talking.

Legolas rolled his eyes.

"Carton got a call this morning from the demon pack," Albus said.

Legolas wolf perked up. Could it be?

"Something about a pack member seeing a woman with the same features of ...her." Albus didn't dare speak her name in case the alpha lashed out.

"Where?" Came the one word from Legolas.

"Demon pack on the outskirts of the northern city."

"What?"

"Yeah, but Carlton dismissed it because it certainly couldn't be." Albus  smiled, teasing him. Of course, Carlton hasn't dismissed the call in case it actually was her.

Legolas threw the covers off and charged at Albus. His hand found Albus' neck and his back found the wall.

"Geez, chill man," Albi's wheezed out. "Carlton set up a flight that leaves in an hour and he talked with the alpha there who is expecting the visit."

The alpha, Carlton, Albus and a few members of the pack got off the plane in what felt like the middle of the night. It wasn't  though. The demon pack resides in the demon realm where the sunshine didn't exist during the day. Or at all.

"Greetings," a wolf dressed in tight, black leather addressed the crowd."My name is many and I will be your guild while you're visiting. "

"Alpha king Legolas," Legolas introduced himself and shook the hand of the wolf. "This is my Royal beta and pack warriors."

"Nice to meet you all," Manny smiled. He motioned towards the vehicle waiting for the royal wolves. "If you'll move all your luggage into the vehicles and take a seat, the alpha would like to see you before you continue to the northern city."

The car rode through the realm, it was quiet, peaceful and beautiful. With no sunlight, the packs  had to think of other ways to light up houses and cities. Coloured light and flags were strung across the streets making the world seem magical.

The city is beautiful, " Albus said from the back seat, his face glued  to the door window. Probably leaving a nose mark. Legolas could see the discomfort on Manny's face while watching Albus.

"The alpha came up with so many ideas on how to light the place up, but the pack liked these  the best. They were powered by the pack when they trained. Using the weight and treadmill powered the machinery. If they didn't then a few packs would  go to the surface and use the Sun's energy to fill out battery packs," Manny explained.

"How do you power the energy inside the housing?" Legolas asked.

"The old fashioned way."

"Fire?"

Candles and torches," smiled many. "Were here."

The car stopped outside the entrance to a cave. Torches lined the inside of the cave and little fairy lights were strapped out around the entrance.

Walking down the tunnel was even more mystical, Legolas admitted to himself. Truthfully he'd never been to the demon pack. He never had a reason to because they were perfect on paper work and there were bigger problems he dealt with. And as long as they were keeping the demons from invading the surface, Legolas would let them be.

Manny stopped before entering the large room of the cave. He turned to the wolves. "When you meet the alpha, don't stare. She doesn't particularly like people judging and staring."

Sarah sat on the smooth stone throne. She tapped her fingers along the arms as she watched people run around completing their task. All day she sat on her throne, watching people and waiting for this unexpected guest.

Earlier that day, Sarah had received word that some wolves wanted to visit her pack in search of someone. She had a small feeling that this would lead to something big. But she couldn't tell if it was a good thing or a bad thing. Her wolf had been anxious all day, wandering around and mumbling to herself. When Sarah had asked what the matter was, her wolf said nothing and took a seat.

She didn't know whether to wait around for these wolves or let her second in command do so. Sarah didn't like having to wait around for something to happen. She had learnt her lesson years ago. Never again would she wait around for something to happen. That's what she had promised herself. She would be on top of everything and have all the information. She would never let herself remain in the dark.

"Jackson," she called from her throne. She uncrossed and recrossed her legs waiting for her second in command to arrive from the kitchen. She knew that's where he was hiding. If he didn't have a mission then his stomach led him to the fridge.

The friendly, hungry lumberjack came sauntering in, licking chocolate off his fingertips.

"What's up, alpha?" He asked with a lopsided smile.

Sarah rolled her eyes to hide the slight smile on her face. Jackson was one of the first people he met when she had escaped from Legolas, the alpha king. She had escape from.his dungeons and torture techniques after weeks of torture when one of the guard has been distracted by his potential mate's smell. It has been a once in a lifetime opportunity. While running, age had run into Jackson and Stephanie. They brought her to the demon pack and helped her get back on her feet.

"Can you meet the visiting pack member for me?" Sarah smiled, bringing her hands up to plead. "Please? I want to spend time with Aleena. I promised her that I would."

"Hmm, what will you do for me?" He crossed his arms, staring at her. In reality, he would do anything for Sarah. She was like the sister he ever had. Stephanie was his real sister but Jackson didn't count her as such. She was always getting on his nerves and messing with him. Sarah , on the other hand, helped him and gave inspirational speeches.

"A week off to find your mate," Sarah bargained, blinking her eyes in a cute way. She smiled at him trying to send him mental thought to agree to her demands.
