Chapter Three

My eyes flew open as the cold water hit my face, I gasped and immediately sat upright. Water dripping down my face and my hair messy. I saw Madam Tina standing with a frown on her face and immediately jerked up from the bed.

“Get to the kitchen now and clean up the mess then mop the floor “Madam Tina said authoritatively

I quickly ran to the kitchen and began cleaning. I knew that any form of disobedience from me would lead to me being starved the whole day. I could hear the laughter, the music that filled the pack house as the guest kept coming in one after the other. I wish I could partake in the party and not stuck in the kitchen.

My eyes got a glimpse of Cara’s beautiful dress and for a moment I imagined myself in the beautiful dress. I was lost looking at Cara’s dress and didn’t notice I had been seen by Cara and her friends. They gave me a disgusting look before walking away while I lowered my gaze in shame.

I was about taking the set of plates which was only used when people of high profile were coming. I had heard that the alpha king was coming and it was a known fact that the Alpha king was the most ruthless and merciless alpha. He rarely makes an appearance so hearing he was going to come Cara’s father became nervous and went about ensuring everything was top notch for alpha king’s arrival.

I thought of how hideous the alpha king must look as every description of him was no less that of a monster no wonder he rarely attends any function. Though I was curious as why he had agreed to attend Cara’s birthday party but I hope I don’t get to cross path with him.

My life was already hard enough and I don’t want it more complicated. I made a mental note to stay far away from him. I was trying to get the set of plates when I felt a hand on my waist. I turned in shock only to be face with Andrew who had a sinister smile on his face.

“Let me go” I said struggling in his arms as I tried to break free from his hold

“And if I don’t what can you actually do to me?” Andrew now held me by the neck ceasing my breath. I mustered all my strength and kicked him in between his legs that made him cry out in pain giving me the opportunity to get away from his grasp.

I quickly ran away but Andrew was quick to recover and was hot on my chase. He immediately stopped when he saw Luna. He gave me a deadly glares before disappearing as he didn’t want to be seen by the Luna with me.

“Why are you just standing here instead of serving the alphas?” Luna demanded

“I……I was sent to get the plates?” I responded still feeling scared but glad to see her as her presence was able to save me from Andrew’s evil intentions.

“Mom” Cara voice was heard as she walked up to the Luna

“Go serve drinks to the alphas now” Luna commanded before walking away with Cara and they both left talking sweetly to one another

Seeing the mother and daughter relationship brought tears to my eyes as I thought of my mum and what would have been if she was still alive. I suddenly felt dizzy and my body ached badly with a shaking hands I started serving the drinks. They were all focused on Cara who stood at the stage looking gorgeous and captivating. Both the older and younger alphas couldn’t get their eyes off her and immediately I place drinks in front of them then turned to leave only to bump my head on something very hard which was confusing as I don’t remember any wall being here.

I rubbed my head softly then looked up only to see the most intimidating yet beautiful set of eyes I have ever seen. I felt cold hit my spine as a powerful aura radiated from him. My legs suddenly went weak and I lost my balance trying to steady myself I held his shirt with all my strength causing his buttons to pull off leaving his bare chest out in the open with my hands now rested on his hardened chest. I immediately tried to pull my hand away knowing I had offended someone powerful.
