Chapter Eight

It was almost two hours of walking in the forest at this point I questioned myself if I actually made the right decision by following Jacob.

“Where are we going ?” I asked exhausted

“ Home but my kind of home” he said as he walked deep, the trees were taller and thicker. The sun was hard to see.

As I walked into the Rogues Den, the smell of smoke and blood hit me. I could felt eyes on me as I slowly walked behind Jacob. Most of the Rogues had similar yellow eyes like Jacob.

A man with an hideous scar across his face came forward. He was the leader of the rogues.

 “ You stay you work if not then leave. This is no place for the weak” he looked at my fragile body in disgust.

“ I would stay” I said softly knowing I had no other choice besides I knew that no one stays alive after discovering the hideout of the Rogues

“Take her to join the other newbies” he said to Jacob who bowed slightly and took me to the room where I was to the stay.

I saw a girl as fragile as I was then two other girls. The two other girls whose name I later got to know was Lexis and Diana. They had reminded me of Cara and her friends. They looked strong and had already started bully the fragile girl whose name was Maya.

“I think someone doesn’t know that this isn’t a play ground but a rogue den” Lexis said referring to me but I ignored her and wasn’t going to allow anyone bully me again.

Every morning, we were woken up by an alarm and trained bitterly. We ran, use our claws to hit hard tree, we were trained to be sensitive to noise.

Rocks cut my legs when I fell each time, my fingers hurts and bled badly from using my claws to hit the hard trees.

Jacob had been my backbone, he had took turns to personal train me. I fought against Jacob everyday and always got wounded and beaten. Never got close to even leaving a scratch on him.

It was full moon and it was a ritual for the rogues to shift and ran in the wood. I was scared as I had only shifted once which I didn’t remember and even killed someone when I did.

“ Trust me Rachael we can do this” Nyra said in my head then I shifted.

We ran into the wood and I suddenly felt something drawing me deeper into the forest. The deeper I went the darker it was but I couldn’t stop myself from going I felt a force pulling me deeper.

Then I smelled blood and went closer to see a figure of a man whose face I couldn’t see clearly as it was dark. Only his blue eyes stood out. I felt a familiar feeling when my eyes met his.

I looked and saw his hand was injured. I should be scared but I wasn’t rather I felt excited.

“Rachael we are in our heat period” I heard Nyra voice in my head. I immediately shifted back to my human form hoping it would stop the heat.

The man came closer he held me by the waist. His manly smell was intoxicating and I felt like I had lost control over my body. I was fully naked in his embrace and still I felt it wasn’t enough.

His touch was soft and gentle like he was afraid he would hurt me if he used a little of his strength. He reached out touched my hair and pulled out a leaf from it.

I closed my eyes as his touch felt warm on my skin. He leaned in and kissed me on the forehead before claiming my mouth passionately. My hands went to his chest, I felt his heart beat fast under my fingers.

I caressed his chest and a pleasuring sound escape is throat. The ground was moss, soft and cool. The night breeze causing me to leaned into him more. He laid me down slowly, his hands were big but gentle. He touched my face and my neck.

My legs went around him, his arms holding me tight. His hand travelled touching every part of my body. He slowly went into me and I screamed in ecstasy. My eyes changed from brown to silver and his changed from blue to Gold.

I buried my face in his neck as the feeling was overwhelming and consuming. My fingers unconsciously scratched his back.

He claimed my mouth passionately once more as our rhythm aligned. His gold eyes shut tight as a gave a final thrush in me. A groan tore free from his throat.

He held me in his arms as I laid my head on his arms. He placed a soft promising kiss on my head.

“Stay” He said but I couldn’t stay I was okay with us not knowing each other’s face. I was a Rogue and I knew what was done to Rogues.

I nodded my head to him and the moment he fell asleep. I took shirt put it on as I gave a final look at the man I had spend the night with though I couldn’t see his face as it was too dark but I was very much convinced he was an handsome man.
