Chapter 10: Burying the hatchet

My daughter Tessa. She never ceased to amaze me. Sometimes she made me wonder if she was really mine or I was drugged and forced to carry a surrogate for some other couple and they bailed on me. Gabriel was better off. Yes he drunk himself to confusion but my son would never let anything harm his family. I missed him.

"Where is she?" I asked.

"She was just here a few minutes ago" the butler said looking around as though she was probably hiding in the flowers.

"Find her, search Blake's room she must be there!"

The butler

"Okay mum"

"Don't okay me find her butler what do we pay you for if you can't keep an eye on my daughter?'

That was rhetorical. I ran towards Blake's crib hoping Tessa was not there or else it would have been catastrophic for me. She wouldn't have hesitated to tell Blake about my earlier support of Bailey’s offence although I was compelled to say it. Upon getting there, said a little prayer and opened the door. She
