Nyx’s POV

Saturday burned itself into my memory like fire.

I had gone expecting only a quiet meal, maybe another one of Renz’s tests to see how far I would bend into his world. Instead, he shattered every line of thought I had prepared. The car gleamed in the sunlight like something out of a dream, and when he pressed the keys into my palm, my breath caught. He didn’t just give me a machine—he carved me a place in his empire, signing my name into a world I never thought I belonged in.

“An official racer,” he said, like it was the easiest thing in the world.

My chest swelled, my heart racing faster than any engine. For a moment, I forgot everything else—Rynna, secrets, doubts. I was only a girl standing in front of a man who saw something in her worth investing in.

For a while, I floated, carried by the rush of it all. But the high broke when he mentioned he’d be leaving for a few days. His voice was casual, steady. “Marco’s around if you need anything.”

I should’ve smiled,

Nyx’s POV Saturday burned itself into my memory like fire. I had gone expecting only a quiet meal, maybe another one of Renz’s tests to see how far I would bend into his world. • THE DEVIL'S MISTRESS   More than a game

Camila’s POV I couldn’t calm the storm in my chest. The thought of meeting Luis Renz—the man Nyx spoke of in such careful tones—made my palms sweat. I kept asking myself what he’d think of me. Would he see me as just Nyx’s shadow? Or worse, would he read right through me and sense the secrets I carried? For months now, I had been secretly updating our parents on Nyx’s condition. Ever since I reunited with her, I couldn’t help it. They were eager to know how she was, though too ashamed to face her. Every time I spoke with them, guilt twisted in me, but I convinced myself it was the right thing to do. After all, family was family, even in broken pieces. Still, I couldn’t believe he had invited me. Renz—cold, untouchable, almighty Luis Renz—wanted to see me. Saturday arrived. I spent hours getting ready, trying not to look like I had tried too hard. My outfit was simple but classy—nothing loud, nothing desperate. I wanted to make a good impression, not look like I was begging for on

  • THE DEVIL'S MISTRESS   Baby Rynna

Nyx’s POVThe sharp trill of his phone shattered the heat of his lips on mine—cutting through the moment like a blade. His grip loosened. Renz cursed under his breath on the second ring, but then… something shifted. The look on his face when he saw the caller—it wasn’t anger, it wasn’t lust. It was something colder. He brushed his thumb across my cheek, a fleeting touch, before pulling away. Then he stepped out, leaving me stranded in the echo of what could’ve been.My chest rose and fell unevenly. Who could shake him like that? Who was on the other side of that call? Before I could spiral further, my own phone buzzed. I snatched it up. A message. The hospital.Rynna will be ready for discharge in a week. The words seared into me. My daughter. My baby. Ready to come home. Relief washed over me, but so did panic. If Renz found out… not now. Not like this.He came back in, his expression unreadable, and teasingly asked for food. I made her favorite—Rynna’s favorite. It was the only comf

  • THE DEVIL'S MISTRESS   Too real to fake

The moment I set her down, Nyx clung to me, and I kissed her with a hunger I didn’t even know I had. Her lips were soft, the kiss deepened, desperate and consuming, her fingers curling against my shirt as if she feared I might vanish.. For once, I forgot who I was. Just her. Just us. Then my phone cut through the heat. I ignored it, gripping her tighter, determined not to let anything steal this away from us. But the sharp vibration came again. Irritation burned in my chest and whoever it was, I wanted them gone. I yanked the phone out, ready to curse. Then I saw the name. James. My blood turned cold. I pulled back, forcing my voice low. “Wait for me here.” She looked at me, confused, but nodded. I brushed my thumb against her cheek before walking out, shutting the door like I was locking her away from what came next. The phone rang again.and this time, I answered. “Renz.” That voice. Smooth, calm, and heavy with everything I hated. I bit down hard. “…It’s been y

  • THE DEVIL'S MISTRESS   A Killers Envy

Renz’s Pov The deal was done. Money secured, The foreign partners seemed satisfied. I slipped through the back door of Basque, heading straight for my lounge upstairs. My mind wasn’t on the profit anymore—it was on her. Nyx. I wanted to finish quickly, to visit her at the new house I’d arranged, maybe catch the look on her face when she realized she was worth every damn effort I made-to remind her she was mine. But fate had a crueler welcome waiting. The moment I stepped upstairs, my pulse stopped—then snapped into a violent rhythm. A man’s hands were on her. Pinning her. He was forcing her. Her body fighting, and her voice trapped in useless cries. I didn’t think. I didn’t breathe. I lunged. The first punch sent him crashing against the glass wall, the second split his lip, but I wasn’t finished. I wanted blood. I wanted him gone from this earth for good. I would’ve ripped him apart if Marco and his men hadn’t pulled me back. My fists still itched, my heart ached like it w

  • THE DEVIL'S MISTRESS   Not your regular kind of bitch

Nyx’s POV The car rolled to a slow halt in front of the house. Not just any house—a mansion wrapped in glass and steel, standing bold as if the world bowed to it. My breath caught. Marco turned off the engine and looked at me, a half-smile tugging at his lips. “Don’t pack anything,” he said smoothly, stepping out first. “It’s already set up.The place belongs to you.” He moved with that calm confidence of his, like this was just another day. But it wasn’t. Not for me. I followed, my heels crunching against the driveway, still trying to believe what I was seeing. Inside, the house opened like a dream—polished floors, wide windows flooding light, furniture that looked too perfect to touch. I turned to Marco, my voice trembling. “Marco… thank you. For—” He cut me short with a shake of his head, his tone calm but firm. “You don’t thank me, Nyx. Not for this. If Renz takes you seriously, then you’re not just his concern. You’re my responsibility too. That’s how it works.” His wor
