CHAPTER 17: RYU

I am a hunter.

I hunt both people and dragons for money and leverage, and I do it without pleasure. Those requests and offers are mostly consisting of assassinating humans, and they are as well mainly hailed from another human being.

How disheartening, was it not?

Ever since dragons were not considered a threat anymore, greed besieged unity and power overrule virtue. The human world had been divided ever since or maybe even longer than that. Dragons had become their tool in keeping the line drawn on their ground, to remind other people of their rank or status.

“I am more divine,” –that is what I decipher on that scene.

I was raised in a felonious world, and in there everything is a game. As a creature of unique identity, there is a need for me to conceal and adapt. My world revolves around ‘hunting and survival’ without exploiting my ‘other side’.
